With no Janine or Lucy the square is missing a bitch, hope Abi steps up.
Yes, I do as well.

I think she just got sick and tired of it all

Her dad playing away with her sisters best friend
her boyfriend obviously in love with her best friend
not to mention Lauren's problems in the past few years

She probably thought enough is enough

She was really natural in all of her live scenes this week. I'm really impressed with Lorna, and so glad public opinion on her has changed.

I just hope that the writers can give her something to do to keep her interesting.

I see either GBH or a dead body in Abi's future.

That girl has got sociopath/killer in the making, right?

I think they changed her character to make her more of a suspect but sorry I just don't buy it the sweetest kindest character in the square, that's a total personality flip. I can understand her getting harder due to her dad, but Into a total bitch that terrorises her sister nah sorry total garbage. Although the actor is doing a fab job!!!

Is there any nice sweet people left in the square now, even dots up for murder lol

This thread is so depressing to read.

Don't get me wrong, I think Lorna is brilliant and I'm glad the show is finally giving her stuff to do; to be given so many LIVE scenes is incredible and I'm more than happy for her, and I'm over the moon that viewers seem to be recognising her acting talent...

But Abi? How can people think her personality change is 'acceptable'? She changed overnight - far more than other personality transplants that happen in soaps, yet people are happy to just accept it? Completely baffling.

We've watched this girl grow up for nine years on the show, and then DTC comes swanning in and changes her and we're praising that? What does that tell him - and any other producer in the future? What is the point of us investing NINE YEARS into a character if producers can just come in and change them like the wind? What's the point? There's no point knowing characters history, there's no point falling in love with a character, there's no point to any of it at all, because producers are just going to come right in and do what THEY want with absolutely no respect for the character, their history or the viewers... and when people praise such moves - whether it's for the better or not is irrelevant - we're on a slippery slope.
I don't know, Abi has been through a pretty rough time of it for the past year in particular. Before this year however, we shouldn't forget about all of Maxes affairs, about all of Max and Tanyas relentless fighting, about Lauren constantly getting all the attention (get the door abi), about Bradleys death who Abi was close to and I am probably forgetting more.

Then there is the stress of her exams to worry about along with Laurens Alocholism.

Maybe her change of personality is a bit extreme and there I agree with you but it is not at all surprising that she took a bit of a dark turn. She is getting attention now that he is more of a bitch as well so I can see it continuing.

Is there any way Abi could be held partly responsible? Given that she gave Lucy a 'battering' could it be that Lucy already had a head injury when Bobby struck her?

This line made a cameo appearance tonight and I found it hilarious yet again. I'm sure it is an in-joke by the writing team. Maybe the line could become like the verbal equivalent of Tracey, appearing every once in a while?

The way she sounded when she said if she was going to kill anyone it would be Stacey was hellish sinister & she sounded like she meant it. She did deserve that slap by Stacey though.

Ben Mitchell better had either stop his affair with Paul or kiss his balls goodbye I think the way Abi is these days.

Isn't this the reason Max thinks Abi killed Lucy? Please correct me if I'm missing something, this storyline is all very confusing - I can't quite piece this together..!!

I hope she kills Paul in a rage. Awful character and actor (Paul).
