I seem to recall Calum trying to do just that, but he was unsuccessful.

Had they been left to their own devices, I'm not sure what would have transpired. Many didn't seem to enjoy Perez's company, so they may have just spent a great deal of time in rooms without him.

I do agree, however, that Michelle and KH definitely tried to create an outwardly obvious divide in the house. (I do think this happens in many series, but the difference in this case, is that it was stated aloud.)

The reason I think it may have worked in the end was I think we saw Perez on many occasions reacting against the crowd who were taunting him, yes he taunted them but to me it seemed he was reacting to what they said and did.

I think both Perez and Katie Hopkins felt they were reacting to each others' taunts. As long as both were in the house there was no hope for any calm or enjoyable days/nights. When BB cast Perez and KH for this series, they got Speidi vs. Rylan on steroids.

IMO these two cast members ruined the series. Both were childish and spiteful; willing to continue their goading and taunting until it sucked all the fun and happiness out of the house. I hope in future series, the casting agent(s) realize that some BB fans want to see HMs enjoying the experience and having a laugh.

That was ham acting and faux outrage at it's very best and she gave us a lot to choose from. Which century does this patronising, self appointed, sanctimonious fool think the UK lives in ? I had a US FM telling me that gay people live in "daily fear of their lives", just having to leave their homes.
Her "cause " is her cash cow and one of her victims, Perez, knows that full well. They were never "friends", she'd met him once on her radio show. She was disgruntled about him not pursuing any friendship with her after that meeting. Why she wanted a friendship is interesting.
I watched all of the C5 CBB clips. Overall, far too much of relevance was cut from the main show.

It did seem as though she thought she was bringing enlightenment to us all at times. Perhaps if she had a little tour of the country before going into the house she would have seen we have actually risen from the dark ages (just).

It would also have saved a lot of us reaching for the sick bucket on too many occasions.
Maybe Hollywood is her place?

I've been watching alot of RuPaul's Drag Race recently and I don't really feel like Michelle is much different to how she was in the house.
With Michelle I think it greatly depends on the company she keeps.

To be fair, as a judge you don't really get to see her personality that much and it's easy to control how you come across with limited screentime and a few lines here and there.
She's obviously used to an environment surrounded by alot of drag queens who are, for the most part, very lively and fun. Michelle seems to bounce off them like a big sister or a cool teacher who likes getting down with the kids.
Sadly, when that's missing, I don't think there's much to Michelle on her own.

I actually wish it was RuPaul that went in the house instead. He, or should I say she, comes across very well and burns much brighter as an individual.

I just don't get Michelle 'the face' at all. She is all Visage. It's so Hollywood her version of helping LGBT. It DEFINES her. Well, she wants it to define her. It's makes me laugh looking at her (narcissistic) twitter. The other day she tweeted story of 'Drag Queens in peril, as their bus breaks down in snow'. Thank heavens for her voice, lmao.
She's apologising to her twitters that she will be tweeting less (for 2 days), due to seeing her kids & husband. Priorities. Those kids she loves on a par with 'the community'.
She seems obsessed with fame and she has taken on this persona to get it imo.
