Linx 10 tablet - battery indicator sticks at 95%

I have noticed that when charging my Linx tablet lately, the percentage charge does not go above 95%. I am sure it is still charging to 100% as when I use the tablet on battery power, it stays at 95% for a while before the percentage starts decreasing normally.

Has this happened to anyone else? Is there anything I can do to get it to show 100% again when the battery is full?

If there is nothing on the tablet you need you could try a hard reset and restore the tablet to see if that resolves the issue.

Is there not a less drastic step I can take to fix it? Is there no way to re-calibrate the indicator or something like that?

I seem to have found the simple solution. If I charge the tablet while it is shut down, it returns to 100%. It still sticks at around 95% though if charging while windows is running.

This is the reason I gave my Linx 10 to my brother today. He only wants it to run the internet occasionally, emails, store stuff etc. I used it to play music all day, and doing this while it was constantly on charge meant it would run out of battery after 4 hours.

The Linx 10 seems to have charging issues which come into question regularly. Doing any kind of regular processor intensive work means it uses more power than it can accept, meaning eventually it runs out of power even if it is constantly charging.

Even more irritating is that it wont start again until there is sufficient charge, meaning at times there is a half hour wait until it will boot up again. With me I got so irritated with it I very nearly put a hammer through it.

I bought a second hand Samsung netbook to replace it. Slower, granted, but at least it works when you plug it in.
