Nadia. How she was perceived by some.

I missed about the first 10-12 days of CBB. I was more than surprised how she was perceived by some viewers and the criticisms seemed so OTT.

I stayed away from these threads during CBB as I always seen her as very pleasant and very much a giggler.

She has been in many programmes over many years and I was mystified by criticism such as "bully" and "bossy" and a "harridan"

She's only 50yrs old I think.

Some people may only know her from Loose Women but she is a well known actress and TV presenter in the UK in countless TV programmes.

Was it just because she befriended Perez who KH couldn't stand?

It was certainly a show of two sides so to speak. It seemed a person was either on Perez's side or if not they were on Kh's side.

Did this set the tone of how the Show would be played out?

Just down to two H/Ms behaviour?

No doubt this was the Production teams intentions, (fireworks) but did it ruin the show?

Did the other H/Ms not see what was going on?

Easier seeing this from looking in than being in it.

Was Nadia including a few other H/Ms not expecting anything like this do you think?

I loved Nadia pre-CBB and I thought she'd be brilliant on the show.

But it seems that she fell prey to 'The Curse of the Loose Wimmin' thingy and it all went to shite.

She was too nosy - always all up in everyone's business
She was OTT - wanting to call the police about dirty old git Ken's comments
She was almost permanently miserable
She over-indulged Perez (and I actually liked the bloke) because she knew it wound Katie Gobshite up

That list ^^ is not exhaustive

Oh Booty, I think Nadia is quite lovely. I simply couldn't understand the dislike from fms. Still don't, for that matter.

I know whose company I would prefer out of all the hms.

Nadia is a normal level headed woman. I admired her loyalty to the friendship she chose and her refusal to hunt with the hounds against Perez. Id like to think that I would behave in the same way should a group of people try to instruct me on who I should and shouldn't interract with.

The behaviour in there was verging on pack mentality and this behaviour was what changed my mind and opinion about Perez.

To me the friendship between Nadia and Perez was the most genuine one in there.

It's pointless asking for other people's opinion, you need to, somehow, watch the first 10 - 12 days and make up your own mind.
IMO she came across as a nosey, OTT, busy-body.

I think she was viewed by some of them as a motherly figure she actually was very protective and pro active in calming things down re the Jeremy situation. Some on here saw that as bossy. She was also keen to 'protect' the younger girls from Kens perceived perving - they were uncomfortable and she tried to tackle it.

It was perceived by a lot on here as being nosey and interfering - I think it was more motherly and protective.

Coupled with this she didn't like Hopkins and made no bones about it - some think she simply befriended Perez to spiy=te her. On the contrary IMO - she really liked him and they had a laugh together - there were a few clips that never made the highlight show that were really funny and demonstrated this quite well.

She is a perfectly nice, normal, down to earth, self deprecating individual - I liked her before, during and even more after BB.

I was really taken aback at how much of an incredibly annoying, borderline-bullying, gigantic pain in the arse she was.

Before she was in CBB I didn't have any opinion of her, if anything it was vaguely positive. She used to be in Eastenders, that's all I knew about her.

My dislike of her didn't really have much to do with her befriending Perez.
She just showed herself to be the type of person I really don't like. Someone who goes around with a holier than thou attitude, thinks they have the right to tell people what's offensive and what they should be thinking, someone who displays faux-offence thinking it will make them come across like a better person etc.
I think she's a very false person.

The fact that her entire gameplan centred on slaying the dragon that is Katie Hopkins and it spectacularly failed was funny tho.

Borderline bullying??

there was a lot of bullying going on in that house and it certainly wasn't Nadia.

I really liked her, but I get why some found her bossy and OTT, etc.

I only thought she was out of order once and that was when Perez came back from the secret house. TBF to Perez he did ask her pointedly several times (in the storeroom, I think) if she was sure she wanted to know what he'd heard, and she did want to know, presumably because she was itching for a row, which she got.

Other than that I think she did herself proud. She was warm, genuine, loyal, funny and most importantly, independent-minded. She didn't cave in to group pressure and abandon her friend.

I suppose the things some disliked about her in the end I simply found funny. For example I rolled with laughter when she followed Ken outside to badger him on the exercise bike until he cracked and gave her what she wanted. Things like that endeared her to me rather than made me dislike her.

I have an 'eye roll' moment when I see the word bully attached to nadia. Who did she bully and how did she bully them?

She didn't isolate anyone or attempt to influence everyone else to isolate them, she didn't continuously goad anyone or tell anyone they were disgusting or she was going to see to it that their time left would be hell.

As you say penny, there was bullying for sure, none of it can be attributed to nadia though.

I agree with your post. I saw her as motherly rather than nosey, the girls actually expected it of her initially.

I think she crossed the line once or twice - when she followed Ken out to the garden, I think to get him to admit he was perving (that wasn't necessary) and when she overreacted to Callum's remarks re her food.

All understandable as she's a normal, flawed individual who - like us all - gets it wrong sometimes. This is especially true when one is in an environment such as the BB house.

Nadia - one of the better CBB hms.

'Ridiculous post' really isn't a good argument.

Got to say, I'm intrigued by anyone who still sees her support/protection of Perez as a good, reasonable or admirable thing.

Because were it not for her, Perez would have been completely ostracised and constantly goaded which, even if you disliked someone intensely, is no way to treat a human being.

See now I didn't find it at all motherly when she told Kav to get to bed about 5 times.

I thought she should leave the guy alone - if he wanted to get pissed and make an arse of himself, that's his business.

She reminded me of some of the folk on here who act like mods.

It's not their place to tell others how to behave and it wasn't hers either.

I really don't see what's so intriguing - honestly I don't. She is/was a nice lady in the house and she had a friendship with Perez. Yes she was supportive of him that's what friends do ............can't be doing with all this 'enabling' rubbish though - far too silly - people making up psychobabblish nonsense,

Far more intriguing is people bending over backwards to defend Hopkins behaviour both inside and outside the house - I think there's a lot on here that seriously need to have a word with themselves.
