It's gotta be BB5 imo, I've been watching through the series again and what really strikes me is that most of them really knew how to have fun, for example mud wrestling, food fights, chasing Jason round the house trying to pull his pants off, spin the bottle, everyone laughing and having a good time.

Whenever I see that stuff it always brings a smile to my face.

HM's would have fun if the producers wanted it.
But these days they want confrontation, negativity and general bitchery.
Sadly the BB5 days are just a distant memory now.

As soon as I saw the thread title I thought of BB5 aswell.
Despite being remembered as a very divided house, they still managed to come together and have alot of fun.

It is sad that we're probably not going to see those sort of scenes anymore. Ch5 has the balance of fun/drama and positive/negative so completely wrong.

BB5 was notorious for one incident in particular. I can't think of any other BB where security had to go in and separate them all.

BB9 when Dennis spat in Mo's face.
I'm pretty sure security were called in there too before someone got a clump.

I enjoyed it too.

Brian was hilarious.

I also enjoyed the challenge in BB3. The rich and poor side.

BB7 had the most, and the most-varied.

I agree. Wasn't a great Brian fan but that was the happiest, warmest, friendliest house that seemed to thrive on teamwork. Yes, there were arguments but they happened naturally and were usually calmed down by others before they got out of hand

Agreeing with you Blondie i think of BB2 as the most fun - it was before all the forced conflict.

BB5 is the only time its been confirmed and indeed shown that security went in, BB9 has never had any offiical confirmation that security went in so we have to assume they didnt.

Rich/Poor side was brilliant. It seems an entirely different program nowadays, and not for the better.

I agree. I rewatched BB2 last year and it was a joy to watch.

BB8 had a few who seemed to prefer playing around than getting in conflict like Samanda, Liam, Brian, Seany, Jonty

To a lesser extent you could also include the likes of Gerry

I agree, I still remember a lot of the 'funny' moments from that series, probably more than any other. It was, in general, a very likeable house (especially compared to the housemates we get today!)

They really were robbed.

Jonty was awesome

Shame he came in so late. The more Jonty would have been better

I bet it seemed so innocent and the HMs so normal compared to the shower we end up with these days.

I miss real BB

BB2 for sure. Hilarity from Brian, sass from Narinda, daftness from Helen and dry wit from Dean, the odd explosion but nothing disturbing or exhausting.

If they put that cast into today's version, they'd make us loathe them within 2 weeks.

Gerry is one of my all time faves ,.........I loved him - Seany too - very misunderstood HM IMO - just because he kind of misread things when he went in and pulled off Lesley Brains duvet - personally I thought it was funny.

Me too actually.

He did try and lighten every mood he just didn't seem to have a good read on when people were in the right mood to play along. Whcih considering he was there for 2-3 weeks with other a dozen people can be an easy mistake to make.

BB8 would have been a great series if they wouldn't have lost all the HM's with potential so early (Seany, Emily, Jonathon, Shabnam, Lesley)...Factor in people Like Jonty not coming in till Week 8.

Real Shame
