I give Perez credit for that. If his goal was to hit Hopkins where it hurts, then I think doing that in such a subtle way was impressive.”

She involved her children in the argument if that is how you want to describe it. She said if you were my child I'd lock you in a cupboard.

"If I was one of your kids" is bringing her children into the argument.
He said it solely for Hopkins to overcompensate in saying how happy her kids were and how much they loved her.
He knew he'd get to her with it so I applaud him for that because he achieved what he set out to do.

Excuse me. Get with the programme.

This thread is about KH and Perez is it not???

And, it has to do with what they both say about each other inside the house and outside it.

Just because you decided to compare KH and Perez as a couple having a row does not change the topic whatsoever.

You can't keep changing the subject matter to suit you.

And don't forget your first post in here.

She's referring to Perez as acting like a child. If anything she's putting herself down by saying she'd lock children in a cupboard!

Bringing up the imagery of a child killing itself because it's so ashamed of it's mother, is somewhat on a different level.
But you know that already really.

In response to 'if you were my child'.

I'm not playing this anymore - you're either deliberately obtuse or you simply didn't watch what happened.

Can't decide and I'm not bothered.

I'll leave you to your WUM games - it's quite clear for all to see.

He didn't.

That would have required him to say something along the lines of 'your kids should kill themselves' as opposed to what he actually said, ie 'If I was your kid - I'd kill myself'

I think Matt's playing a little 'they both mean the same thing' game.

Total wind-up

no she clearly referred to him as HER child not a child "if you were my child" that is her being the first person to bring HER child into it.

OT. - Can someone explain to me what a WUM is?

I'm not sure how much you know about internet discussion forums, but the main topic is very rarely stuck to and there are deviations all over the place and offshoots into sub-categories of the main topic without completely changing the entire thread.

I mentioned how I had no problem with Katie's comment and how I would say something similar in the same situation.
People (not me) then went away from that and started saying how they wouldn't do it in a real world situation.
It's a natural progression to then start talking about that.

I think when you have to twist things to this degree to stay on Katie's side you've lost any argument and thrown all credibility out the window. I was taking you seriously for a while there

Not really, i've actually been praising Perez in this thread.
Unfortunately some people have no balance in their views, it's either 100% for someone or 100% against, no middle ground.

He didn't - he was merely responding to the hypothetical situation that Katie brought up regards what she would do if he was her child - her children didn't come into it at all. She was the one who then brought her children into it and made it personal by implying that they are better off than Perez's child because they have two parents. Basically what she is still saying even after being back in the real world for several weeks.
This exchange was preceded by Katie baiting and insulting Perez non-stop for minutes without him responding in any way - the video showing this was 5 minutes long so she went on for at least for that length of time.

Good thinking Penny. There are none so blind as will not see. Besides, you're on a hiding to nothing, arguing with a WUM

It seems like they're both scrambling over each other for who can say the nastiest thing. They're both as bad as each other.

When other HMs spoke up telling Perez he was out of line, he responded, "I'm playing by the rules." I don't think either one was really hurt by the statements as it was just a game to both of them.”

I totally agree. They were both guilty of going out of their way to antagonise each other and both said very questionable things in that house. I doubt either was truly bothered by the other, it was all about point scoring and camera time

I've got a feeling that Hopkins is the sort of person who would say "Well he did have a problem" if someone commited suicide. There are people just like that and she seems the same. Same with her offending cancer patients 'chicken arms'. I wonder if someone she loves got cancer, how'd she react if the same was said?

Really? It looks pretty one sided to me.

she's like a dog with a bone.

I think Perez knows her game - if Perez started slating Hopkins in the US she'd be rubbing her hands together - she wants maximum exposure - I'm glad to see he's not playing her game.

In an ideal world we would all get on but as you say, you only have to see the sadness in the world to see that is not the case.

I'm not saying it's right that people deliberately try and hurt people but it does happen, everyone falls out with someone in their life and I wouldn't believe anyone who says they haven't. You only have to look at some of the posts on here - the sarcasm and rudeness by some is well-rehearsed and something they have had a lot of practice at so they are not as meek and mild as they proclaim to be .

Exactly, I don't think he's said anything derogatory or otherwise about any of the HM's since he went back home to his highly fulfilling life.

But the kids don't. They're seen in the company of the nanny, never with either parent, looking sad and lost, according to a neighbour of Hopkins. So she's hardly the moral arbiter of what passes for a good role model.
