Nokia 3210
Anybody know where I can buy a new one for around £20? I'm coming to the end of my contract with 3 and I'm thinking if I just buy a cheap phone and have a cheap sim with calls and texts then I should be alright, it will work out a lot less than it would for this 24 month contract in on now.

Look at a current cheap Nokia if you just want a cheap 2G voice/text phone. CPW sell them for around £20. Sim free http://www.carphonewarehouse.com/mob...Viewall_211113 PAYG http://www.carphonewarehouse.com/pay...ViewAll_211113 |

Thanks for the feedback guys! I've actually looked in amazon but I'm not sure about the condition because they're mostly used.

Still the same problem, though. You can't use a 2G phone on Three. So if you really want a classic Nokia candybar phone you'll have to switch to O2, Voda or EE. |

Do you guys not know that Nokia have been releasing non smartphones since 2001?
You can buy brand new 2G only phones which are much better than the 3210 etc... today. The Nokia 130 for example. I seriously don't understand why you want a phone that is about 15 years old. Also why don't you just keep your old phone and use a pay as you go sim or sim only? I mean come on....... In your other thread you say that Three are charging too much for unlimited data, yet here you say you want a cheap 2G phone to use a cheap SIM inside.......wtf.... I think the issue is you don't know what the hell you're talking about. |

The Nokia 130 for example. I thought Microsoft was going to stop making Nokia 2G only phones, but perhaps there are a lot in stock!! |

They're still shipping almost 5x more dumb phones than smartphones. In fact it was only in 2013 that we saw smartphones outsell dumb/feature phones for the first time worldwide. |

As long as it is not the nokia 105 as it has a design fault the ear speaker is louder when the phone is turned the wrong way around Quote:
The 3210 hasn't been sold new since around 2001/2002. You have absolutely no chance of finding one new.

I'm unsure if you have any experience wih iPhone because I've got the 5 and the battery just wastes away so very quickly, even faster now I've upgraded to iOS 8 earlier today. Main reason I want the Nokia 3210 is for nostalgia's sake, the battery life is amazing and it's also indestructible. |

Well get one then
Personally I prefer the 3310/3330 but that's probably because it brings back happy memories of my first contract phone ![]() These phones sold by the hundreds of millons so you should still be able to get batteries, chargers etc for a good while yet..... |

I have the Moto E and G and Moto G 4g and the last 5 inch version and the nokia 515 outlasts them all I have tested it ![]() Quote:
If you don't use it, it will. The talk time on the Moto is three times that of your Nokia.

Who says I want to use this Nokia on Three Mobile though? I've not said that.

You can measure stand by life in weeks and they are more likely to be available in good condition with a good battery than a 3210. |

If you want a really nostalgic, well built old Nokia with excellent battery life why not look for a Nokia 6310i?
