So has South Park: Bigger Longer and Uncut but it's not considered a musical.

I'd consider it a musical! And a good one, too, actually.

It may not be a true musical, but it certainly is a stage show and so fits with the OP's question.

I liked Grease when I was a boy but it's been overplayed to death, speaking of which...I quite like the theory that Sandy actually did drown and the whole movie was a fantasy due to lack of oxygen getting to her brain, ending with her death as she flies up to heaven.

Not considered by whom ? Is there some bible somewhere that has decreed it ?

And anyway, does it really matter ? It's just semantics, surely.

Also really like Mamma mia and we will rock you

If I didn't live hundreds of miles away from London I would go so much more

If we are talking films also, then Grease 2 is soooooo friggin' good. Much better than the first one.

If we're including films then I would definitely say West Side Story.

Can't believe West Side Story is popular here, it's the only musical that has actually made me feel angry. I couldn't shake my bewilderment for 2 or 3 days after seeing it. What a stupid story with horrible selfish characters.

My favourite is Starlight Express but only because it was the first one I ever saw. It was a big deal heading down to London from rural East Anglia when I was around 12 years old. I was stunned that such a thing existed, the whole thing seemed magical!

A lot of my favourites mentioned already.

But I think Cabaret is also worth a mention. Amazing music and a dark and powerful story.

I've seen the film and a strong, dark, stage performance with Will Young as the MC.

Billy Elliot was very powerful in the West End too.

I love Les Miserables, but I was disappointed when I finally got to see it live due to my expectations being far too high I think. I had a similar experience with Phantom of the Opera, although I'm not so keen on that one anymore.

I think the best musical I've ever seen was Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat. It was just so much fun! And it's a musical I've loved for years, I absolutely adore the soundtrack. Evita was also very good I thought, I'd recommend that to anyone. As was Beauty and the Beast.

Others I love but have not seen live are My Fair Lady, Aida (the Disney musical, not the opera!), Tarzan (another Disney musical), Mamma Mia...I think that covers my favourites anyway.

Anyone seen Dirty Rotten Scoundrels?
That one took me by surprise as when we went to see it we thought it was just a play, when they started singing and dancing we wondered what was going on.
I liked it in the end, saw it on night two and they were cocking up a bit which made if funnier.
Rufus Hound was great in it.

I like all sorts of musicals, my faves being...
South Pacific.
Oklahoma.
Seven Brides...
Top Hat.
Gigi.
Carousel.
Kiss me Kate.
My Fair Lady.
I like the old ones really.

The best stage show I have seen for many a year has to be last year and that was 'Fiddler on the Roof, that production was excellent.
