Silly vendetta ? you need to see the damage they do yourself.
My initial incident was when we picked up a little dog on the M5 motorway, managed to catch him though he was very scared, drove to nearest phone box (shows you how long ago it was LOL) called them and was told we don't take strays put him back where you found him. 5 minutes of pleading our case (we were heading for a holiday destination with our own 3 dogs) and no they were insistent we should not have picked him up if were not prepared to take him with us
Our next was a when we saw a duck with wire round it's beak poor thing was so thin
we rang them and were told it wasn't their job, 10 minutes of arguing and finally agreeing if they got it we would take it to a vet they said they would come out.
They took our number and would let us know when they arrived.
2 days later we went back, locals said no one had been out but we found the duck ourselves, near death in some reeds vet put her to sleep for us.
Then we decided to help them - no we couldn't have a dog we lived in a flat, that ignored the 20 odd years we had lived in one with dogs who the vet reckoned were extremely well cared for and fit as they were walked a lot because they had no garden.
Thought perhaps we could walk dogs for them ? oh yes good idea, I said I could manage small dogs or dogs that didn't pull as I was at the time partially disabled, so what did they present me with ? a GSD who didn't know the first thing about manners on a lead and lunged and barked at other people and dogs. Yes they put some thought in suitability there and I didn't return.
Then I started working for a small dog rescue, saw the result of RSPCA rehoming dogs to completely the wrong people, they could easily manage small dogs or easy to own dogs but no they were given hellish hounds they just couldn't manage.
If I had any faith they were doing what people pay those donations for I would be happy but those incidents worry me.
