It didn't come across like that at all.

The thought did cross my mind, but the immediate, extremely awkward reaction of both actresses did not seem scripted at all.

No, I think it was a general mistake.

The show was already generating enough publicity so I doubt it.

I agree. But there is something about the eagerness of certain viewers to see mistakes that makes me think they slipped one in for them.

Agree with this. It was a very weird slip up but then Tanya asking "How's Ian?" was a bit of an odd line as well.

Random bad writing in what was generally a good week. Unless Jo totally got it wrong and it was meant to be "Where's Ian?" or something.

Tanya hasn't seen Ian since before Lucy died so why wouldn't she ask how he is?

I agree. The whole 'you/who' debate was still going strong then.

Maybe she asked how he was because his daughter had died?

I don't think Jo Joyner's quite good enough an actress to fake the look of sheer terror that crossed her face immediately afterwards. Nope, genuine cock up.

Maybe Adam was Kathy's name in Witness Protection.

I don't think an actor would agree to make a "mistake" on purpose.

Money talks, Lily. Besides there millions of reasons why that mistake wouldn't harm her career.

That was a genuine slip up.
It wasn't only Jo Joyner's reaction either. Laurie Brett looked completely thrown for a couple of seconds. she just didn't know what to say!

Wonder if Jane was supposed to say something after Tanya asked after Ian.
