Appears to be £1.37 at Asda for 2 litres.

Normal milk is around £1.80 for 2 litres.

I believe Cravendale is filtered more (so less bacteria etc).

But does it taste as good as normal milk?

Why not just buy some and try it for yourself, as what one person might like another will not. You are the only person who can tell if you like something or not.

I love cravendale, I think it tastes much nicer.

£1.80 for 2l dairy milk seems very expensive

Possibly they are a company who take care of their farmers and not rip them off like the supermarkets do.
(alternatively they may just be milking in the profits for themselfves)

I buy cravendale all the time. It tastes fine. Its best point is that it lasts ages e.g at least a week after opening. Unopened will easily last two weeks I have opened many well after the sell by date and they are still fine.

If you don't have a fridge, you will still get a couple of days or so once opened(my fridge died recently so I know).

Yeah, I think it tastes better, fresher... doesn't have the funky aftertaste that regular milk can. That said, I still buy regular milk, since it's about 60% the price of Cravendale. Some supermarkets have filtered milk, which I think is basically the same as Cravendale, but usually cheaper.

Not in my opinion, when I tried it I found it had less taste. I tend to buy local milk these days anyway and that have a lot more taste than even supermarket milk.

Got some today, my verdict is that it tastes almost exactly the same as normal milk, maybe even a bit better, no after taste and feels a bit lighter. I will probably buy it again!

Tesco own brand is similar to Cravendale - I'll bet it comes from same dairy!

The Asda own brand filtered milk is the same as Cravendale. It has Arla embossed on the bottom of the container, and Arla are the company who make Cravendale.

I use skimmed Cravendale, it's far less watery than regular skimmed milk and lasts a lot longer. If there was a skimmed Asda own brand filtered milk, I'd buy that but unfortunately they only do semi skimmed and whole milk.

I love cravendale milk
My sis only ever buys this brand - she loves it too and often buys about 6 x 2Ltrs at a time - when they are selling at reduced prices [ On offer most of the time at Sains ]
She says they always last absolutely ages - when unopened in the fridge

Cravendale is owned by a Swedish-Danish company, ok it joined with Express dairy, but it is still mostly Swedish-Danish. The company is Arla Foods.

i will stick to our local dairy, better milk and at least the cows are treated better.

Milk is milk, unless you are a brand junkie, then you will believe everything the marketing people tell you.

Ice cold semi-skimmed milk is my favourite drink. I bought Cravendale recently for the first time and, far from it tasting better than other milks, I didn't like it.

Milk is not milk, unless you have poor tastebuds. How could you compare say full fat unpasteurized dairy milk to filtered, semi skimmed milk?

I'm sure there was an ad about 10 years ago for Cravendale along the lines of Cravendale milk being so good that the cows want it back!
