LTE-M is talked about for Smart meters and the like. Huawei mentioned it last week when talking about 4.5G coming next year with speeds of up to 1GBps.

Well, the LG Urban LTE one claimed to have a 700mah battery so likely the M comments were a red herring.
I can see a use for M in watches too though. You just would not need 700mah to receive M messages. edit http://ubersmartwatch.com/author/bhushan-akolkar/ So it is not a watch but Huawei's smartband that gets LTE-M. From there, the new Pebble looks half decent and would likely go down a bomb at a more sensible $50. |

Ok so they just announced there will be a Pebble Time Steel too which I am now very sorely tempted to upgrade my pledge to!
Also liking the look of the smart strap concept they revealed today - allows people who want extra functionality / sensors to add them without affecting the baseline cost of the main watch for everyone else who doesn't! |

More on the Pebbles and others.
http://www.pocket-lint.com/news/1330...uawei-and-more Despite looking OTT deep the Huawei one does seriously impress via photo. That TalkBand B2 activity tracker looks feminine and so so. |
