Yeah he is one of the very few BB Alumni I kinda of enjoy seeing on TV. Even though when his series was on he knew it would still be a TV show he never knew just how much of a beast Big Brother would become. He is one of the most likely to stay humble following his series and that's what he did.

Even when he does appear on TV its in relation to his trade before he was on BB (Builder). He is rarely on TV for the sake of being on TV which is what most BB HM's try to do these days (Steven and Kimberly being prime examples)

Rachel Rice was a really good winner. I also feel John Loughton from Celebrity Hijack was a severley under rated winner (Mainly pertaining to what he has done since leaving the show...Dare2Lead)”

Good post - and very true.

And so was Rachel Rice.

Very sad, he seems a decent enough guy & he held to his promise if he won he would donate the winnings to his friend for her operation. Joanne died a few years ago following an infection.

If it hadn't been for the Nasty Nick scenario the outcome may well have been very different. If I remember correctly the HM's complained that all Craig did prior to that is sleep his way through the series.

He's apparently one of the richest reality 'stars' ever, worth 6.9million!

BB1 remains my favourite series probably because of the novelty value.. I had a look at the first ever show and I'd forgotten how they entered the house with Davina not making an appearance until the first eviction night. I loved Darren and his devotion to Marjorie the hen. I'd also forgotten the nakedness!

First BB1 show

Davina's first appearance, she looks so young.

What about Marcus! He sounds like a parody of himself nowadays (tho' he denies sounding any different)! ROLLEYES

Yes the bridge. I preferred it without quite so much damned hysteria but where there's money to be made? I liked the Irish woman a lot. Can you imagine trusting the care of livestock to some of the hapless wanabees they shove in there now? Remember the transmission being blocked when Nasty Nick was rumbled?

I used to love the gardening and the chickens, we had many lovely moments because of those, people scared of them, people not sure what to do, people who loved it all, can never forget John Tickle watering the garden ! It gave the quieter ones some where to get away and some of them talked to the chickens like people.
I gave us a much deeper knowledge of who they were as people IMO

His mother doesn't appear to be very old to be suffering dementia. Dreadful thing for him and for anyone else, sufferer or family.”

Well there were a lot of high jinks at the beginning which he certainly joined in with but he also spent most of the rest of the time in bed / asleep and he even said this himself.

I often think he was responsible for BB bringing in the no sleep during the day rule

I have to be honest, I never liked Craig but I've never been a fan of the cheeky chappy persona and thought he was very boring and really not very nice to a lot of the females in the House.

Plus he stole the win from the true winner that year, Anna

I never understood the people who liked Anna she never struck me as a winner at all. Craig however did. Mind you I liked Gos a few years later too and he could sleep for England in the Olympics

totally agree with you Trevor!
he also stole the credit of discovering nasty nick when it was Darren who originally cottoned on to what was going on...

I can see why you don't get those that liked Anna. You have a gigantic soft spot for the House bores

Ah Darren I forgot about him but yes even he would have made a more deserving, better winner than Craig.

I was an early riser so when he Cameron and Steph were cooking breakfast - to be fair Gos was almost comatose, I would be watching and listening to their conversations. Loved those quiet moments.

On the side show that they had for the first series they calculated the amount of time everyone slept for and found that Craig didn't sleep the most in the house.
Caroline resented every single thing Craig did, awake or asleep!

Who did Craig admitted that he did sleep a lot. I think he was the most noticeable because he was there right to the end when the whole show started to drag a bit.

Craig and Caroline were like the original chicken and egg There was dislike on both sides.

I'm sorry, I dont remember who slept the most. I would like to think it was Caroline
Craig said he slept as a way to pass the time, which is fair enough I suppose. He certainly woke up when Claire arrived.

My dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer's last year. I live with him but at the moment he can look after himself, wash himself, get stuff to eat etc, but I do cook and help him quite a lot. He has severe speech problems and struggles to remember words but it hasn't got to the stage that he doesn't recognise anyone. It breaks my heart that at some point he will get to the stage that Craig's mum is at, and my heart goes out to him and his family. With this disease you just have to take each day as it comes. My dad is in his mid-eighties now so there is some consolation that it didn't develop at a much younger age.
