Is Rainie Cross' story over? would you like to see Tanya Franks back in EastEnders as Rainie?

Nonts not over for as long as Cora and abi are there. I'd really like to see her get on her feet and remain so for a while and grow to become successful before a major fall again. I was gutted that after her exit in 2011 they reverted her back as God rainie I found funny tbh.

The problem is that Tanya Franks like different roles and has so far been uncommitted to EastEnders on a regular bases.

I love Rainie, if we're not getting Tanya back any time soon I'd love to see her on the Square. It would make Ian Beale squirm as well which is always fun.

She nicked Cora's Money and then ran off...

Tanya Franks is known for not committing long term but she could definitely come back on say a 6-12 month contract for a really explosive storyline. I think Rainie is a great character and I've always wanted to see her clean her act up for good!

I'd like her to return with HIV or hepatitis from her drug use or having unprotected sex. This would give Cora something to do too. Cora could talk Rainie into getting tested and into treatment. Yes I'm aware Emmerdale and Hollyoaks have done it but hey, it's an issue that affects a lot of people. I think Eastenders would do this story well.

I think she will only ever be in it for short stints, Tanya Franks doesn't seem like the sort of actor that wants to settle down into one thing which EE pretty much forces you to do.

I think it is better this way anyway, Rainie is the sort of character that is good in short stints.

Did we ever find out what happened to her in her last exit? I'm sure Phil said he was going to "sort her out" so Ian wouldn't have to worry about her anymore

Rainie robbed Cora and did a runner.

Rainie works as a character who comes out the woodwork every few years. I think Rainie will more than likely return when Cora leaves or if something happens to Cora or Tanya. Tanya and Rainie haven't seen each other in ages, as she refused to come to her wedding to Max. I thought Rainie's inclusion to the Lucy storyline was great. It never felt shoehorned or done for an excuse to bring her back.

I love Rainie as a character. Tanya Franks is a superb actress and played Rainie brilliantly. Sometimes the 'down-and-outs' are the best characters as you can throw their story in all kinda of directions. I'd like to see her back at some point.

She's almost as "selfish" as Ben Hardy/Sam Strike in that regard

Her storys not over but each time she leaves her exit is written self contained so that if she doesnt return it serves as a believable approriate exit. But theres still plenty to explore.

I would like to see her back though as her scenes with Cora were some of Ann Mitchells finest scenes on the show.

Loved her telling Rainie to fight for her future last year

I wish Tanya Franks would committ to EE full-time, she is a brilliant actress.

Rainie is a great character but constantly failing at sobriety is horribly realistic and I think she works better as a tragic mess.

Agree. Lorna Cartwright, the alcoholic who Phil had an affair with was someone I thought had a lot of potential. She was supposed to become a prominent character, but left because they wanted her to be involved in a gang rape storyline which she objected to.

I reckon Rainie will be back somewhere down the line. She has family links on the Square and they left the door open for something when ran off with Cora's money.

She'll be back at some point. Hopefully it's sooner rather than later.

Would like her to be a full blown "tom", servicing the EE lot

Sadly I think so which is a shame because I really liked Rainie and was glad to see her return, I wish she hadn't left so quickly at the very least, it also gave Cora another link to the square

She told Phil (I think) a few years ago that she took drugs to block out what happened to her at some point in her life. I wonder if he find out what happened.

I'd prefer her to come back if Jo comes back, they work so well together.
