I am also looking forward to the Apple Watch launching in the UK hopefully it will launch at a reasonable price.
It was rumoured to be about £220.
I suppose we'll find out today and it depends if you think that's reasonable.

Er, I own a Moto G android, and could buy a movie on Google Play, but I then have to watch it on the Moto's tiny screen, or buy a Chromecast. That isn't much different to the Apple approach except the Chromecast is cheap.

Lots of people have older TVs that aren't smart, and will want them to run 10+ years before replacement.
Or you could watch it on your PC, on a Roku, on an Android phone, tablet or Android TV, or on an iPad, iPhone or iPod touch.

you can also watch a lot of purchased google play content through youtube....whether this allows access on your smart tv depends on how old it is..

Considering the Moto 360 was £200 on launch here and the LG G Watch R was £220, £220 isn't too bad for the Apple one (considering Apple normally like to price things higher than the competition).

Given the announced US pricing, I'd say £299 for the standard Apple Watch. But will that include a strap?

Looking at Apples product range, the one that's long overdue an overhaul is the MacBook air. It must surely be due a retina screen upgrade at the very least!

This is what I want (much more than an Apple Watch).

Its not unknown for them to accidently leak stuff from the store prior to it being released

Anyway the basic Sports iWatch will set you back £230 but if you really want to look down on people you should buy the gold cased version which could cost as much as $10,000 (£6,614).

No doubt people will be camping overnight to buy it not because Smartwatches are new but just because it has an Apple logo on it!

I'd like to see a new Apple TV with 24fps support.

Actually, no. The Apple Watch Sport is more expensive than the standard Apple Watch, and that £230 is US pricing before VAT etc.
