I really do like the Apple Watch UI. I'm interested to see third party apps. Probably still won't get one though.

They're always obsessed with stocks. It's got to be the first thing that almost everyone disables in the Notification Centre!

Looks like Apple are going to re-invent the watch with an innovative touch screen watch face that can run apps as well.
How long will it be before the likes of Samsung rush out their copies?

So at home, the Apple Watch doesn't have to be tethered to your phone via Bluetooth. Just has to be on the same wifi network.

No word yet on whether there's any complete standalone functionality.

Oh yes no one else had a Smartwatch before the iWatch was invented! (sarcasm)

im assuming that you just missed the sarcasm in the previous post

on another note is there anything new thats been announced ? Not sure i was expecting the make/receive calls (which some existing watches do). This always seems a bit cheesy to me though.

At least Jony Ive is saying "aluminium" and not "aluminum".

It's cool in a sci-fi way but I doubt I would want to use it out and about!!

I like how when you dictate a message, you can send the audio or the text.

But come on, not even a headphone jack?
It has a headphone jack, on the other side from the USB-C.

The dictation thing is part of Android Wear too (i believe) but Ive never felt the need to talk to my LG Watch R - as you say its really not something for a public arena

Id rank that right up with the novelty bluetooth gloves my daughter has

Any announcement on battery life ?
Have they managed to make it waterproof yet ?

I have seen that you can use it to open your garage door though - ive always felt that something was missing in my life and now i know ....

£299-£339 for the Sport models
£479-£949 for the "normal" models

I'm an Apple fan but I think they've lost the plot with some of these more expensive than the iPhones.

Lol at the prices, think I'll pass after giving them £££'s for my iPhone 6. Anyone who bought a 6 or 6+ should have a discount voucher or something.

And when is the IOS 8.2 update out? Thought that was today too?

That gives them 16.4% market share when you compare cumulative sales of smartphones from 2007-2014.

I think the Sport ones are priced okay. What's the difference between those and the normal ones? Just the strap?

Looks like it although the cases may be made of something different.

There is a range above the "Sport" and "normal" called "edition". These have 18ct cases and are priced between £8k and £13.5k.

Oh sorry yeah, are the Sport ones made of aluminium and the normal ones made of stainless steel?
