So I've just upgraded from a 5S to a 6 and I've got to say the battery life is WAY better and doesn't drain as quick as the 5S did when being used. For example normally after I get home from work at 5:15pm I'd have around 30-40% on the 5S, but today when I got home I still had 72% left, I'm chuffed!

I'm only posting this because Ive read elsewhere that there's not much difference between 5S and 6 battery life, but I beg to differ!

The people who don't get much difference are those who are either using the phone heavily all day, or those on networks with poor signal where they are most of the time - that kills most phones.

This is why most people ignore battery life claims, as it really varies on how you use, and how your signal is (and how your network is set up).

A very good point about phone signal. At work I only get one or two bars at most and the battery life is crap. It is vastly improved at home on days off.

Mine is 17 months old and I've not noticed any battery life degradation yet.

New 5S battery in my 5S is about 30% less every day than a 6 in similar use and the 6 is about 15% better than the S5 from experience. Obviously different for every person.

yeah i know about the signal thing, we moved house just before christmas last year and i noticed the battery life suffered alot(on the 5S)tbecause the signal is not very good in our house, but even though the signal is not great i still find the 6 way better, and better still when im in work and have a strong signal.
