I strangely liked it. Elaine is an amazing character, the Carters are always likeable and watchable when she's around. She's the next Pat imo, PLEASE MAKE HER A PERMANENT CHARACTER.

No one will ever dethrone Pat.

I was relieved it was her singing. For a moment I thought Mick would to serenade Linda.

It was a bit cheese on toast, but she can sing plus I think Elaine is a great character.

She can sing but I did cringe. Elaine is way too over the top for me. They need to tone her down a bit.

It was a little weird...

Does Elaine know about Shirley/Mick?

Yes. It was worse than the time Heather sang George Michael on karaoke.

I don't mind her as recurring, but she's just another pointless addition to the family, and it really does feel like they're trying to recreate Peggy, which isn't going to happen...

Until it became apparent that she could sing, which was only about two notes in.

No essay long rant tonight, I'm afraid...

Oh not more Carter-oke?

It's time they invited others to their little caterwauling sessions, such as Kat and Alfie, I think Kat and Linda should have a sing off, the winner gets a cup of Mick's tea!

I haven't watched yet btw!

It was disgustingly appalling. I felt sick. I'm glad Elaine has her own pub to run. Her last two appearances have been epic fails.

I vomited into a bag. ANother karaoke at the vic put on by the Carters for the Carters. Same old same old!!

and we had Linda involved in Sharon's story. They really are over trying to make them the most important family on the show.

They will never be as good as the Mitchell's, Beale's, Slater's, Branning's, Cotton's, Butcher's, etc...

It is getting a bit concerning. They don't bring in many viewers at all tbh. I'd like to have The Mitchell's back in The Vic, they run it the best!

Kat and Alfie are SERIOUSLY underused compared to Mick and Linda. It's starting to get concerning now! It's not just Kat and Alfie though!.

I'm looking forward to the Linda/Kat scenes next week though! I like Linda and Kat, so it should be good!.

I cringed, yes. I also cringe at her inappropriate behaviour with Mick. Nauseating.
