Just a quick heads up for those looking at SIM Only plans.

Due to low 4G customer sign ups in Q1 2015, Vodafone are launching a number of key deals on their SIM Only offerings very similar to the winter sale they had recently. The deals go live from the 1st of March 2015 in store and will launch in the online store on the 2nd of March 2015. The deals will run till the end of the fiscal year.

1GB UK Data

3GB UK Data
Unlimited UK Minutes
Unlimited UK Texts
£19.80pm

6GB UK Data

£24.30pm

10GB UK Data

Vodafone RED is Vodafone's ultimate tariff that combines Unlimited Minutes and Texts with loads of ultrafast 4G data and a choice of Now TV, Sky Sports Mobile or Spotify to enjoy at no extra cost for up to 12 months. And that's not all, with Vodafone RED you get access to 3 months unlimited data test drive and Vodafone's 5 star care.

Combine the above with Vodafone Euro/International Traveller and 500mb of UK Wi-Fi and you get an excellent package. Don't forget cashback as well.

Vodafone are targeting 3 million 4G customers by the end of the quarter with current numbers now over 2.5 million as of February 2015.

1GB UK Data usual price £17 now £15.30 (Save £1.70)

3GB UK Data usual price £22 now £19.80 (Save £2.20)

6GB UK Data usual price £27 now £24.30 (Save £2.70)

10GB UK Data usual price £32 now £27.70 (Save £4.30)

Still too much for too little but a step in the right direction.

I just don't see the advantage of these over o2's network or even EE's prices, let alone 3's data plans. Vodafone might have had their reliability on 2g image but I can't see much point in joining them at these prices.

I wouldn't join O2 or Vodafone where I live for anything other than voice calls. 4G is too new but for 2G and 3G users, I would avoid.

much better than EE pricing, im out of contract in about 10 days on vf, will snap up the 20gb for £30 offer, with the free spotify its the best deal about for my needs.

20gb data that can be used with freedom (no tethering restriction) is plenty

EE charge £27.99 for 5GB and Vodafone £27.70 for 10GB and you don't see the advantage? And add either Spotify, Sky Sports or Netflix on top.

Damn I said prices. I meant coverage but I made a booboo. Soz. Although with 800mhz they'll catchup at some point.

That's assuming EE and so forth don't also adjust their prices.

It's been quite a while since I've been in the industry, but February has always traditionally been a fallow month, being post Christmas/new year, and was always used to go "off-offer" on certain retail channels, to satisfy regulatory needs as well as to doing back office cleaning.

I fully expect EE to go back to the same, if not improved, offer prices come March.

Very, good offer though, particularly after accounting for the added value extras.

I suppose quidco will do a £120 offer on the top package and combined with 20% corporate discount the top package should work out at £14 a month after discounts

Don't expect more than £70 cashback.

EE will certainly be refreshing their tariffs shortly.

Not sure I'd go to EE, has to be a reason they are losing so many customer's.

And as a long-time spotify user they have to be £10 cheaper than Vodafone to make it worthwhile moving

They're losing pay as you go customers like everyone tbh, and their contract base is growing. Also their 4G brand has seen unprecedented growth.

I'm not saying they're perfect but using one metric such as "customers leaving" without looking at the big picture is not really fair.

For example, in the first half of 2014, Three lost a number of registered customers, turns out it was part of an account cleanse where they deactivated a number of pay as you go SIM cards that were older than 6 months old and had not been used.

Yet their contract base was still growing.

Your comment is like me saying that I won't join Vodafone because they have the least number of 4G customers therefore there must be a reason no one is joining them.

(Also your heavy Vodafone bias is showing again.... I get that you love Vodafone and Vodafone are the best but can you stop with the comments about why every other network isn't good.)

I don't go to a network on the basis of it losing customers, I go to it on the basis of a good experience, i.e. good signal and performance.

I don't care about anybody else, as long as it works for me that is fine. Therefore I don't really understand the arguments here about not joining a network because it is losing customers.

Sorry I nearly slipped in a coma from the irony there. You are really calling someone out for being biased to Vodafone on this forum?! I guess the rampant Three hypemachine that has been rumbling on the the last few years has completely passed everyone else by! Good lord...

I'm able to get information about Three, EE and the mobile industry in general. Doesn't mean I'm bias towards towards anyone.

Hell this thread created by myself is 100% dedicated to vodafone and the value they provided. So I'd hardly say I'm bias.

They could give those tariffs away for free and I still wouldn't ever use them!

In all honesty Sethpet is biased towards Vodafone and gets huffy if anyone dares to say anything remotely negative about them.

The 20GB price is pretty damn good. I pay £10 a month for Spotify, so that means I'd only be paying £20 a month. I am sure lots of people use Spotify and will think the same way.

The problem is that if I haven't got access to an upgraded Vodafone site, my data is almost certainly going to be dog slow compared to EE or Three.

What I do hope, however, is that this gets EE to buck up its ideas and stop thinking £28 a month for 5GB of data is acceptable, or a maximum of 4GB a month on PAYG. A network holding events to show off incredible Cat 6 and now Cat 9 LTE speeds and saying it's time to kiss goodbye to fixed broadband....

I agree the price is good. Especially when you consider the data you're getting and the price on other networks for a similar package. Plus the extra content is always nice.

Only issue I have with Vodafone is the somewhat lacking 3G service. If Vodafone are able to roll out 4G everywhere as promised and launch Call+ alongside Message+ and LTE-Advanced in a number of areas then this will increase the value and desirability for me personally.

It's amazing how Vodafone offer a maximum 20GB on their sim only plans but EE now only offer a measly 5GB! :/
