She's got a new record out. It all seems very convenient with all the publicity it's caused.

Why did it fail? Everyone's talking about it.

Nope she didn't. It was too far a drop, she must've been bruised, feel bad for her.

But this is Madonna we're talking about. Are you not a bit cynical about it?

I really doubt she'd risk her health for a sales boost

I sincerely hope not!

I have followed her since I was a teenager and I know full well that even though she loves a good publicity stunt I doubt she would show herself up like this and besides she could have been really badly injured!

Not in the slightest. Did you watch it? Whilst she creates a lot of publicity for herself with her antics it's quite clear this was unplanned.

In this case no!

It would be extremely stupid of her to do what she did on purpose just to generate sales.

Madonna might think that a bruised arse is a price worth paying for some publicity with her flagging popularity.

Of course she didn't.

Besides, this is Madonna. I'm not sure why people think she needs publicity, and also why she would try to get it in such a stupid way.

If she wants publicity she would just flash her nether-regions. She's done that before, and it is much less painful!

The fall was genuine - anybody with an ounce of common sense can surely see that. Far too many cyincal people around.

The timing of the lyrics with what happened IS uncannily coincidental, that can't be denied. Plus the dancers instantaneously leaping off the stage and forming a circle around her in so quite consummate a manner. I could wonder if there hadn't originally been a much milder form of choreographed 'incident' thematically intended in exact time with those lyrics, but that it went so spectacularly wrong so as to have resulted in the undoubtedly painful and worrying fall that we saw.

One and the same, the fact can't be denied that Madonna went truly flying arse-over-tit so to speak, but immediately, awesomely, collected herself and got up and on with the job, whereas plenty wouldn't have. Imagine if something akin to this had happened to the likes of Bieber or 1D, there is simply no way on this Earth they wouldn't have stormed off stage.

I definitely think it was a "wardrobe malfunction."

I don't think her popularity has ever flagged sufficiently to the extent she would find it necessary to resort to such measures.

She still gets sufficient publicity no matter what she does.

There are plenty of other publicity stunts she could dream up. She's too much of a perfectionist when it comes to her performances to go flinging herself off the stage backwards as a stunt, lol.

I'm sure If she wanted to create publicity, she would have chosen a more dignified way than being yanked off her feet onto the floor.

At her great age she could have easily broken a hip .. so no.
Has it been a rather fortunate global news story that she will profit from .. most definitely.

I genuinely don't think so. It did actually look like a painful fall and as Fried Kickin has said at 56 she could have easily broken her hip and/or she could have quite easily strangled herself with the cloak. Also she has an album to promote and shes going on tour and a broken hip would have ruled both out completely. I think if it was planned/staged, it would have been a lot more obvious and wouldn't have even been half the fall she had

On a side note though, it has made me laugh that I read that since Wednesday night ticket searches for her next tour has apparently risen LOL
