I was previously with Phones4u on a Orange contract. I have until July left on my old contract and my two year old binned my Samsung S3 about 3 months ago and it's doing my head in not having an Android smartphone with all the bells and whistles that come with it for when I am out and about.

I know Phones4u used to buy out contracts before they went belly up, so was wondering if anywhere else (reputable) will buy me out of my contract and sign me up for something else, so I can get a new phone?

I can't afford to buy one as I am saving for my 10 year wedding anniversary and saving every penny at the moment.

Thanks in advance.

I don't think anyone does it anymore (look where P4U has ended up with all their schemes).

Just buy a Moto G and go sim only at the end of the contract minimum term, you'll be able to save even more pennies in the long run.

I can't afford to get a Moto G mate. I would of considered getting a Galaxy Young from Tesco for £50, but they're locked to the Tesco mobile network. I'm currently paying £27 a month to EE for nothing. Can't afford to pay for an upgrade myself or buy it out.

I've heard bad things about cheap Samsungs and like you say it would be locked to Tesco mobile

One of these http://www.carphonewarehouse.com/pho...ourCode=ORANGE would be a bit better, and a fiver cheaper as well.

Just check that it is unlocked.

Or one of these maybe http://www.carphonewarehouse.com/pho...ourCode=PURPLE

Again, check it is unlocked to EE.

Either of those will see you right for now, and when your contract expires you can use them with a SIM only deal until you are back on your feet financially.

Or sell your kid into slavery and get an Iphone 6 plus with the proceeds

Asda are selling the Moto G for £59.99 if you can find them. The Galaxy Young / 2 is overpriced crap.

It looks as though that was a deal of the day on hotdeals and only available at certain ASDA's but I appreciate you looking and posting.

Thank you, that looks pretty decent for the price. I will check them out.

Never for an Iphone, but for the Samsung S6 on release? I may be tempted!

If you have brought already Carphone Warehouse also have the Galaxy s3 mini for 59.99 plus a tenner top up.

That phone is at least a cut above the other Samsung budget models-it's based on the old-but-good-SII flagship so if you really want a Samsung it's worth a look.

It was the S3 my 2 year old threw in the bin. I did like my S3. The one I have seen in CPW is Vodafone as far as I can see online. I'm with EE.

I *think* all CPW handsets are unlocked. Do check this before spending any money!!

So for £70, you could have an SIII mini and a spare sim with a tenner on it.

CPW stock is unlocked, you just choose the cheapest network and then do what you want with the new sim (use the credit/give it away/throw it away) and put your EE sim into the phone.

Does insurance include acts of toddler as a valid excuse?

If you are after a temporary phone, and short of cash, try freecycle.
