RuPaul - Realness (Album 2015)
So I discovered today that Ru has a new album dropped today - I didn't see any hype or anything on social networks as she has been so busy promoting Drag Race S7. Anyone heard it yet?
01. L.A. Rhythm (feat. Michelle Visage & JROB) 02. Color Me Love (feat. Rebecca Romijn & Markaholic) 03. I Met Him on the Dance Floor (Interlude) 04. I Blame You (feat. Ellis Miah) 05. Throw Ya Hands Up (feat. Lady Bunny & Ellis Miah 2015) 06. This Is a Picnic (Interlude) 07. Die Tomorrow (feat. Frankmusik) 08. The Realness (feat. Eric Kupper) 09. A Dream You’re Having (Interlude) 10. L.A. Rhythm (feat. Michelle Visage & Matt Moss) 11. Born Naked (feat. Clairy Browne) [Stadium Remix] 12. Drag Mocks Identity (Interlude) 13. Step It Up (feat. Dave Audé) 14. LGBT (feat. Chi Chi Larue & Markaholic) 15. Thorns of a Rose (Interlude) A lot of features this time round! It's available on iTunes (unsurprisingly) - any reviews? |

Wow that was kept quiet. I have been following Rupaul a lot lately and a new album was never confirmed or hinted at, apart from the covergurlz album she always releases with the new contestants of each new season of Drag race.
Thanks for the heads up I just wish she would start releasing her albums physically again |

Which was the last to get a physical release? I know Born Naked wasn't, was Glamazon?

I wonder which song will be the runway song for Season 7? Or the closing credits song?

Apparently it's currently #54 on the UK Charts - which isn't bad as unfortunately drag acts do struggle in the charts. I have found a couple of reviews online - not the easiest to come across!
http://www.ishtalk.com/home/realness https://popcorker.wordpress.com/2015...-album-review/ It's nice to see DS featuring a story on the album on the homepage as well! |

54 is very good without no promotion, and as you say, drag queen artists are not commericially successful.
I think it's doing well because Rupaul's Drag Race has been a huge hit on Netflix and Michelle Visage's stint on CBB also allowed people to discover him and the show as well. |
