double emails...........!!

HI every time my phone receives an email , i get a double copy of that email.. and it is a pain.. so what happens is i get an notification that an email has come, i click to open it and read it, and delete it.. i go back to the home screen and i still have a email icon on the phone, i click on it, and then the email page opens and i read the email, and delete it. this happens for every email i get why? thanks for any solutions..

Because the notification and the email are 2 different things, when you dismiss the notification you're doing just that, it doesn't affect the original email.

so it is normal.. and i have to put up with it... never had it on my other phones..

Could you be deleting it too quickly?

I sometimes get an email come back after deleting it, if it hadn't completely finished downloading.

What phone? Which email provider?

Are you forwarding email from ome address to another?
