Need some help from someone who might know

I dropped my phone about 2 months ago and cracked the screen, the phone worked fine and had no issues

Yesterday I plugged my phone into charge and when I went to check it 30 mins later it had s thermometer on the screen and a warning saying the phone needed to cook, I left the phone unconnected all night and went to charge it this morning but Its not charging.
I'm just getting the Apple logo switching with a flat battery sign

I've pressed the home and sleep buttons for 20 seconds and also tried to connect it to a laptop but nothing is showing

Anybody got any ideas??

Thanks

The temperature warning while charging and then the failure to charge implies it is a battery fault. It may or may not be related to the damage caused while dropping it.

The only real option is to get the screen and battery replaced at the same time.
