The return of the true Sharon Watts
Sharon may no longer be Watts by name, but we can slowly see her character being built back up to the strong independent woman she use to be.
She now has solid friendships in the square with Linda and Jane, she's part of the Mitchell family (where she is doing a superb job of taking control) and has a good 'frenemy' relationship with Shirley. I feel, once Kathy is back on the scene, we are going to see Sharon come out fighting to keep Phil and ultimately become the strong character we once loved. And with her biological family being explored, I feel we will soon see her have a family unit of her own to fall back on. |

Sharon already seems like a matriarch, I know she's only young but you can tell they want her to grow into one. I think she's a brill character and even though Tish can be a little camp at times, this adds to the greatness that is Sharon!

I've been very critical about how Sharon has been written since her return. Honestly I've often found her to be unbearable, weak as inconsistent since she returned and wouldn't have complained if she left, even her revenge storyline on Phil turned sour when she had second doubts.
In tonight's episode though I really liked her. It sort of made me realise that I've liked her for a while and I hope that she continues, she was warm, compassionate and yet at the same time wasn't afraid to be straight with Shirley and I honestly loved it. More of this Sharon please! |

I've really disliked Sharon since she returned, but tonight I realised that I'm starting to like her again. I hope she carries on like this.

Sharon is fabulous. She's a natural matriarch and I love that she will be taking charge of the Mitchells. Phil is the patriarch and Sharon is the matriarch of the Mitchells
![]() The writing has been brilliant for Sharon lately and a lot of people are liking her again

Since January she has been really strong.
Hopefully they're moving towards a Pat/Peggy relationship between her and Shirley. I want to see some kind of frenemy dynamic. I like her marriage to Phil but she's finally getting to step up as a Mitchell and head a household in his absence. It would be nice for the marriage to last. Even with Kathy back in the frame, which Sharon will find out about. Not shacking her up with Jack Branning (though he's now left) certainly helps and her friendship with Linda is more believable than the one she had with Tanya. She's also forming a nice bond with Jane and Sonia. Want to see her become closer to Ronnie and Roxy too. Roxy warmed to her on Friday by the looks of things. Ronnie has had her problems with Sharon in the past over the Carl stuff, but when she's out of the hospital, I reckon Sharon will be a needed ally. Not necessarily a friend, but a source of support. |

I do like Sharon with Phil but I realised that Sharon is much better when she is away from Phil. This is the real Sharon Watts viewers know. Sharon is doing very well as a matriarch and she's getting older now so it is fitting that she is one of the matriarchs now.
Sharon Watts has always been a strong, feisty and caring character but since her 2012 comeback, she had been ruined and the writers didn't "get" Sharon. I like this new direction for Shazza and I'm excited for her future. Long live Sharon Watts!! Well technically she is Sharon Mitchell but I always view her as a Watts. |

Newman got Sharon so wrong, teaming her up with Jack and shoehorning her into the Brannings as well as her fake friendship with Tanya.
DTC really gets Sharon, her friendship with Linda is genuine and real and she is has been turned into the new Mitchell Matriarch, if DTC can do this with Sharon he can do this with other underused characters like Masood, Cora, Lola and Whitney. |

The writing for Sharon has been fab lately
Her scenes with Abi has been my absolute fav. Two characters who rarely ever share scenes alone. Her friendship with Linda has really gotten stronger, as they seperated over the jealously with The Albert opening and I adored that scene with her and Shirley. Pretty much admitting they never will never get on, but i think deep down, they respect and admire one another. They are tragic heroines. |

Sharon has improved so much since she was re-introduced to the show, love the idea of her and Shirley being the new Peggy and Pat just hope this doesn't lead to a scene where Phil turns up at Shirley's just in a twirly bow tie!
![]() Her scenes with Abi have been great she is a natural matriach, with Ronnie and Kathy coming back Sharon Watts is sure to come out fighting! |

Bring back Grant and then we can have a Kathy, Grant, Phil and Sharon love square! But I am so, so glad that Sharon's been given her balls back, it's clear that Tish Dean wasn't happy with Sharon under Lorraine Newman when she was just ruined. I think DTC has breathed new life into that character. However, I dislike the whole biological family thing with Sharon. As far as I am concerned, Sharon has two parents - Den and Angie. She has a sister called Vicki, a brother called Dennis (who she married) and an evil stepmother called Chrissie (who is behind bars). If DTC wants to create a proper family for Sharon, he ought to bring back Vicki Fowler. Also, who thinks that Kathy's husband might be Sharon's birth father?

They certainly seem to be getting there with Sharon after several false starts. I wish her return had been held back til the show was in a stronger position but hopefully onwards and upwards.

It's now time to do the same with Kat IMO.
Kat is nowhere near as bad as what Sharon was in 2013, but Kat does need improving a little! .

Sharon is my fave character at the moment. I love the way she sorted out Jay, Ben and Abi out, like a mother. She's independent and you can see that through her actions. That's what makes her a true mitchell matriarch.
I like that they are bringing in her biological family. Even though Den and Angie will be always be her true parents. It will be nice to explore a different parental relationship from a different angle. I just hope they will not be Kathy/Phil/Sharon love triangle. |

She needs a business to run. Get her back in the R&R. That was such a great set. The underground feel, the windowless office in the back. Firebomb the ******* Albert and have Sharon's 'home' be the nightclub.
