Remember when they said Kat would be permanently scarred in a very visible way?

Good times, guess it got too much for the makeup department eh? The burns she sustained should not have healed this fast, that sort of burn stays with you your whole life

She still has visible burns on her right cheekbone and the right side of her neck. The worst burns are on her body - right shoulder, right arm, right leg - and they are usually hidden by her clothes.

It's up there with Todd's (CS) and Carmel's (HO) 'life-long' scars.

The aftermath of the Kat's facial injuries hasn't been dealt well at all

Tamwar's injuries were meant to change his character and his family forever. It didn't. It caused a strain to his marriage to Afia and has never ever been mentioned since. The only time it has ever been followed up was briefly last year when the fire broke out as Kat and Alfie's, and Tamwar panicked and walked off.

The story was a joke. Her injuries are not even that bad.

Yes, i'm not quite sure what people thought they meant by 'visible'. Fair enough they are not all over her face but they are quite visible on her cheekbone and neck even with her hair going forwards - they would be much more so if she wore her hair back. For those expecting worse they look minor but i can imagine they'd be very hard to ignore if it was your own face and neck i especially when as looks orientated as Kat was. She is still attractive but i doubt she sees that when she looks in the mirror, she'll just focus on the scars and people being what they are, some strangers are bound to notice and comment on it.

That said, i don't think the aftermath of her scarring has been handled well in the storylining though it has at least had more focus on it that Tamwar's did.

Got mentioned before sexy times with Alice. Other than those two times. Never.

Scars visible enough for everybody last night?

It was certainly prominent enough to make her feel self conscious. Just because she has bottled her feelings up and built up more walls doesn't mean she isn't suffering. She was forced to bottle her sexual abuse up for 18 years and then it all came out like an explosion going off. We may still get insight into her suffering and how her self esteem has further eroded at a later date.

That bad? Carmel got them fixed easily and they weren't even that noticeable beforehand

I actually thought they've been far more visible this week than recently. They seem to have gotten a bit redder.

While I do think they should perhaps have shown more of her dealing with the scarring, you could say that this 'downfall' she is currently experiencing is due to number of things that have happened to her recently, including Harry's money and the fire that Alfie caused which led to the scarring.

They are visible sure but nowhere near as bad as they should be considering that they are recent

They did seem to look quite red and fresh in last nights ep. The scars looked painful to me though.

It's less the visibility of the scars that's the issue ( I actually think they look reasonably bad) and more the lack of any depth to the story. It was all very Kirkwood; all emphasis on the stunt, absolutely nothing dedicated to the emotional fallout. Terrible, terrible writing and tells you all you need to know about Kat's place in DTC's Eastenders. Right at the bottom of the pile.

I think this story has played a big part in killing off any remaining interest in Kat, she's suffered what in the real world would be a hugely life changing experience yet remains completely unchanged as DTC would rather go over the same old ground with her rather than explore something new. A potentially interesting character based story built on self image and feelings of self worth thrown away for an inferior retelling of something we've already seen before.

Permanently scarred in a very visible way as in physically scarred or emotionally scarred? Emotional makes sense from what we're seeing on screen and upcoming eps
