Hi,

Hoping for some advice.

My daughters Nexus 7 2013 headphone socket has become faulty in the fact that you have to hold the jack in for the headphones to work or they will either not produce sound at all or just in 1 ear.

It is out of its 1 year warranty

I have spoke to ASUS and they said that they could fix but would probably be an uneconomical repair as the cost for repair would be in excess of 100 quid.

So I was thinking that maybe a cheaper solution would be to buy either.

1. Stereo headphones that plug into the nexus micro usb port (if they exist or have i dreampt them up)

or.

2. Bluetooth headphones (daft question do they only work for music or would her games work with them also)

My daughter would prefer over ear ones and around 20-30 quid budget.

Any recomendations or advice would be brilliant.

Many thanks for your time.

No brainer - Go for bluetooth - works with any sound.

typical headset £15 on Amazon - reviews seem pretty good. Includes a microphone as well.

So you made your mind up any way - actually trying something yourself is the best way of learning! Looks a good choice. Let us know how they work.

Philips use quality speakers in their headphones at competitive prices.

You can still find the Philips SHB4000/10 at reasonably close to that no name brand.
