Sorry if there's already a thread, but I'm starting to think Sachs will play Sharon's dad?

Your not the only one on thinking that

People have said he is abit to young but actors have been known to play people higher then their age or lower so it should be ruled out due to that tiny detail

It could be either him or something to do with Stan

Young? He's a bit too old if anything. He could play her grandfather.

Perhaps he could receive an amusing phone call from Phil?

As stated in the post it says actors as a whole have been known to play characters years older or younger then themselves. Casting older actors in the age groups gets
Dofficult so usually actors will be young then their characters. Look at the actress who was to play Lydia back in 2011, she got critically ill after filming 2 episode. Best to cast younger ones as it's less of a risk health wise.
Also many older actors retire and June brown seems to be the exception to this rule as she wants to work until she died but the show has to think about risks of casting an older actor.

I just don't get why anyone would say he's too young when he's in his 80s.

Maybe he's Stan's friend, Ginger Pete.

I agree with Hankshaw. How can an actor who is in his 80s be classed as too 'young' to play the father of a woman in her 40s?

There's approx a 35 year age gap between them

I'd love it if his character was Kim's husband but Vincent was the father of her baby.

I kind of want him to be Stan's brother purely to see Tim West and Andrew Sachs share a screen but I think he will be Sharon's father.

No I would have Kenneth Cranham, Steven Berkoff or Terence Stamp as Cora's Brother.

As a character though you've always wanted Chas cross (if I'm remembering right) to give Cora some more material
