Moving to Three
NE5

from o2 at the end of March.

Or, gave 30 days notice to o2 to end my simplicity package. They asked me why, and basically it is because I only have 250mb of data for 11 quid, and 3 will do 1gb or 2gb for 10 quid.

My mate has been on 3 for a couple of years and is very happy with the coverage.

o2 offered to increase my data to 300mb for an extra quid but wouldn't budge from their basic package of 500mb for 13 quid so I asked for my PAC code which I've got.

Does anybody recommend any other company before I start the ball rolling with Three mobile and move over to them ?

Get a 3 payg sim first to try the coverage for yourself. If O2 is still better for coverage have a look at Tesco as they use the O2 network and have better deals. As for using EE then both Virgin and TPO (The Peoples Operator)have good deals. TPO will give you 3gb for £12 a month, 30 day rolling contract.

I've moved and am very happy, the coverage is the same as o2 - where I live - and the data of 2gb is a no brainer compared to the 250mb o2 was giving me.

The only problem so far is that I have a voicmail message portrayed on the front of my phone as a missed call and I can't get rid of it. I THINK it was received during the 48 hours when I had my new three sim card in the phone and using a temp number.

It seems to me I will need to go to the three shop and get them to delete this message as it is [possibly] received during a now defunct mobile number, or does anybody have a different idea ?

If you want to keep your number, don't call O2 to cancel, instead get a PAC code - it's use will cause a cancelation in any case once the number port occurs.
