I have and loved my cat for 7 years..every winter going into spring she has this mental grooming phase where she pulls her fure out!.. her fure is beautiful the rest of the year! ... does anyone else have this?

Cats (and other animals) do have a 'spring moult' so she may just be over-grooming but it's also likely that fleas are a-hatching. Do you treat her for fleas regularly? With proper stuff from the vet? And if so, when did you last treat her? Bear in mind that Frontline is less effective nowadays (or not at all) but there is now Broadline spot on for cats from the same company.

At this time of the year, fleas are making their presence felt and what she may be reacting to is a flea infestation. Otherwise, have you ever taken her to the vet while she's in the midst of a spring de-fur? What did the vet say?

I am OCD with flea treatments and worming.... I have moved house three times since having her.
