Unless I've missed something it looks like Three have just put up their sim only prices.

Cheapest is now £8 and the 200min/AYCE 12 month plan is now £17.

When did this happen?

Yes it looks like they've bumped up the SIM-only prices - must have happened very recently.

The cheapest AYCE data plan was £15 with a 12 month contract - that's now jumped up to £17.

Bit of an increase from the £12.90 I'm currently paying under the pre-summer 2014 prices (there was a one month AYCE data tariff with 200 mins for £12.90, but - thanks to advice on here - I got the 12 month tariff with 1GB data and 600 mins for £9.90, then added the £3 AYCE data add-on, meaning I got 400 extra voice minutes for the same money albeit with a 12 month commitment).

So as and when I get pushed off my current (old) tariff, it'll be a choice of 4GB and 600 mins for £16, or AYCE data and 200 mins for £17, or look elsewhere. I dare say Three will still just about work out cheaper than the other networks, which I guess is their game plan.

Still, it feels a bit rubbish for them to raise the new tariff prices whilst they're still pushing people off the old tariffs.

Hi. Are they pushing people off the 'old' tariff of £12.90? I'm on this still, having joined Three last Summer. When I called recently about an issue, I asked whether my existing tariff would remain, as was aware that some SIM only plans had increased. The advisor said there were no plans to move people over etc...

So, has anyone actually been placed on a comparable/equivalent AYCE / mins plan, but with a hike in the monthly price? Thanks.

Aye, a heads up would have been good

I was planning to upgrade from the £12.90 to the £15 12 month plan for the tethering and free 0800 numbers, £17 is a bit of a jump!

Prices do go up on things from time to time, we can't expect 2012 prices to remain indefinitely. If you were on Virgin Media you usually get 2 price rises a year!

Prices go up from time to time, fair enough. So far I haven't been contacted regarding my One Plan contract. But in the end it could be a 13% price increase, no unlimited tethering anymore and 5,000 3 to 3 minutes and 2,000 voice minutes will turn into 200 minutes.

The All in One £15 plan is still available. AYCE data 300 mins and 300 texts. There may be advantages to a sim only deal for some but for others save yourself £5 a month and use this. I wouldn't like to sign myself up to a 1 year deal.

From 1 July 2015 all mobile calls to 0800 and 0808 will be free. See the Ofcom site at http://www.ukcalling.info/freephone

A £2 price increase, not the end of the world. I pay £15 Per month for the 200 Mins, AYCE data and Txt's.

Just as long as Three really accelerate the 4G rollout this year with 98% population coverage.

If by November the 4G coverage is not massively improved, then I will not be renewing my contract in December and will likely be off to EE

The PAYG option looks so much better. What am I missing?

The reason I got the 1 year SIM only deal with AYCE data was specifically because it was mentioned on this forum that AYCE data was going from the £15 PAYG bundle....

Obviously it has not happened yet but it surely has to?? How can they have a better deal for £15 on PAYG than a guaranteed contract and income for a year compared to a one time top-up for maybe six months!?

They surely have to make AYCE data on PAYG a £20 add-on, because at the moment, you get more on PAYG..or make it on a £25 PAYG bundle, that is still competitive, especially with a minutes increase...

Should do.

But when it happens is a mystery. As is Three's new contract handset price plans and Mobile broadband price plans, the latter of which have now been pushed back almost 2 years.

Do correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm lead to believe the PAYG offering doesn't include the 4gb tethering (or "personal hotspot as they are want to call it) which is part of the sim only bundle.

But yes, it does seem odd.

Anyone got a launch date for the Honor 6+ plan? Interested to see what they'll offer for this bearing in mind it's tipped to be only around £250 sim free

You're correct.

The SIM Only plans offer 0800 calls and 4GB tethering additional where as pay as you go does not. Officially speaking of course, there are unofficial ways around the above such as "Say No to 08" application + tethering work arounds.

Honor 6+ is due to launch 1st week of April but don't quote me.

An extra fiver for 400 minutes (AYCE 200 to 600) is very steep.

Looking forward to it Jabba- it looks like a great phone for the money, as long as it does 800 (can't see Three selling it if it doesn't)

I was going to get an S6 to replace my S4, but this looks like it'll be just as good for half the money

What's your impression of it?

Huawei have gone all out in the past couple of years and the smartphones they're making are really great, couple that with the excellent value provided in the SIM free price and they really can be considered must buy devices.

The original Honor 6 is still and excellent and the Honor 6+ improves on it. The camera seems like a unique idea and the front camera looks very high quality, the build of the phone is nice and the Dual SIM support for the UK market is amazing. Couple that with an excellent processor and battery and you have a great phone here.

The Honor brand for Huawei shipped more than 20 million units last year doubling internal estimations and accounting for more than 1/4 of Huawei's total sales.

In fact my main phone right now is the Huawei Ascend Mate 7 which is super amazing.
