Been looking for a new TV for days and can't settle on one!

My requirements are:

Ideally 42" but 40" would do. Full HD.
Headphone socket
Freeview
100hz minimum
Black Bezel

I've seen a Sony one at John Lewis for £449 with a 5 year guarantee but it's more then I wanted to pay - unless it's worth it?

Do I also need to be looking at the 'hz'? I'll be using the TV for PS4 and Blu-Rays.

We got our Samsung because it had free ITVPlayer. I have since added various apps to the Smart Hub and find it very good. My son used to have a Samsung and decided to go for a Panasonic which, while a good picture and sound etc, doesn't support as many apps as the Samsung.

Just my take on it.
