Hey everyone! I'm wondering if anyone can hazard a guess at the sales rate of Rebel Heart Tour tickets, specifically the o2 show. I should receive a code to access the Amazon presale on 12/03/15. There are two presales before this however, the first being the Icon presale on 10/03/15. When I saw MDNA at Murrayfield I purchased an Icon membership to gain access to the presale; I'm just wondering, do you think it would be worth doing the same again for RH? My main concern is getting a seat as opposed to standing. Considering there is another presale following Amazon before the tickets go on general sale I'm guessing that the organizers aren't expecting the tickets to completely sell out before this point but I would just like some more opinions on this; would it be worth me spending an extra £13 to ensure I can buy a ticket on Monday or is it likely that the people accessing the Icon presale will be buying the most expensive seats anyway (in which case I don't need to worry, my budget is roughly £80 per ticket). Many thanks.

My understanding is pre-sales are for a limited number of seats.. so a pre-sale could sell out but that doesn't mean the gig is sold out.. it just means that specific allocation of tickets has sold out. Otherwise entire gigs could sell out in pre-sales and the general public would be a tad miffed!

Ticketmaster says:

"Internet presales are usually sold from an allotment of seats, which may not reflect the same availability during the public onsale. Internet presales provide the advantage of exclusive purchasing windows in advance of the public onsale, which often results in less people competing for the pool of available seats."

What you also need to factor in is how exclusive the pre-sale is. Kate Bush for example gave hers to members of her mailing list BUT only those who signed up a few weeks before her gigs last year were announced. This kept the pool of people limited to her "hardcore" fans and I think all who wanted tickets in that pre-sale got them. However with Madonna it seems you can buy into the pre-sale.. so you have to think if you can.. so can anyone else.

End of the day it's up to you and how much you want to spend to give yourself another roll of the ticket dice. There will be plenty of tickets left when the general sale starts.. but there is likely to be plenty of demand too. The o2 is a big arena but with just one night in London she's likely to fill it.

My tips for buying on the day:
- Make sure you've got browser windows open to the ticket sites that are selling tickets.
- Make sure you're signed up and logged into them.. refresh the page 10 mins before to make sure you're still logged in to avoid last minute "You're not logged in" drama.
- Try to research the price bands and guestimate which seats each price band is for. For example the cheapest O2 tickets are usually the seats high up and towards the back of the arena. Are you happy for any seat or do you want to try and get closer to the stage etc. You know your budget which is good.. the key with tickets imho is getting onto the buy page ASAP. Any lingering around trying to decide which price band to go for is going to slow that process down.

Good luck!

Thank you for your reply. I bit the bulletin and bought an Icon pass. I can't bare the thought of missing out on the tour and as I'm guessing Amazon will have a limited number of seats available through their presale I thought I'd be better off ensuring my ticket on Monday. Thank you again.

Be careful about refreshing too often though. Ticketmaster temporarily blocks IP address that thinks are scalpers so you'll be left no way to buy tickets for up to 24 hours.

I'm planning on going to see her in Manchester. I've never been to the Manchester Arena before - can anyone recommend what the best seats would be? Or the next best after that (since the best will probably be really expensive or taken by presale folk).

the bottom tier, that's blocks that begin with a 1 not a 2, i prefer at the back as you get the full effects of the lights etc, Sat at the side near the stage once for a gig and hated it, could see the band really well but didn't get the stage show
