Anyone else notice that recently DS have changed their advertisement system, so now every 20 or so seconds the adverts change, and each time that happens the thread that you are browsing will scroll up to the top of the page automatically so that the advert area is back in view. Quite annoying and invasive.

If only iOS Safari would offer proper ad blocking.

I use Weblock for iOS.

It's not free, but the difference in the browsing experience is amazing.

Mercury browser looks good.
I use the iCabMobile browser with webblock.
But Mercury looks like a good try.
Not having any luck with the bookmarklet to open url from safari in mercury

Their bookmarklet pasted as in the app faq is listed as
Code:
javascript:window.location='merc://'+escape(window.location)
But its not parsing correctly, its adding this extra code to the front of the url
//http:%3X//

The one i use specifically for iCab works fine
Anyone have the correct call for Mercury?

Agreed, it's fcuking annoying, it also means trying to jump to first unread doesn't work as it jumps to the advert instead.

In fact, it's jumped to the top twice in the time I've been typing this reply. Edit: jumped to the top FIVE times altogether now .

I did send an email to DS asking for an explanation using the "contact us" link.

Going to look at weblock for iOS now...

I also contacted them politely using the "contact us" feature but unfortunately I received no reply, and no confirmation that they even received my feed back.

Forum pages are incredibly slow to load on my iPad Air, and coupled with the page scrolling issue, DS is becoming a PITA.

This is probably off topic, but if you don't ask, you don't find out.
I've noticed over the last couple of days that when I sign in to DS on my iPad, I no longer get asked, "Save this password?"
I don't care about that, I always clicked on "Not Now" anyway, but if I leave my iPad for a few minutes, then have to enter my 4 digit code to get back in, I find that I'm no longer logged in to DS, and have to log in again.
In addition, all my history has disappeared, (on my iPad), I may have looked at Expedia, OpenTable, TFL, TripAdvisor, in addition to DS, but leave the iPad for a couple of minutes, then on return, no history.
None of this is a major deal, I just enter a site name on Google, and I can go to the site again, but is there something I've maybe inadvertently done to cause the history to not appear?
I know that I can go on Settings, and click on Clear Searches and Web History, but I haven't done that, and my History searches are still there on my iMac, any ideas?

Thanks. Just installed.

One problem. Do you know how to share just a link to a page by email, as opposed to the whole content?

Apart from the random slow downs which has happened since the dawn of time with no sign of changing, I also noticed that the system doesn't always log out even tho you have signed out. I thought at first it was me forgetting to sign out, but it isn't. If I sign out and goto another site, and maybe turn the iPad off for rest of the day, when I return I go back into DS it already has me logged in, even tho I haven't logged in yet. This doesn't happen every time tho.

Doesn't happen at all on the pc, and there are no random slow downs on that system either.

What we need is a DS app that would contain a forum and maybe live chat all in one. It would ease posting on the forum from mobile devices, and also allow users to have a real time text chat (similar to Facebook messenger app).

Seems strange that sometimes it logs out and other times it doesn't (even tho it says it has).
