Ear speaker not working (Android, Sony Xperia phone)
I can't hear the other person on the phone through the ear speaker, but I could when I plugged in headphones or switched to the loudspeaker. Switching the phone on/off didn't make a difference.
I'm fairly sure it's a software fault rather than any hardware issue because I downloaded the 'SoundAbout' app which allows you to choose where specifically the phone call audio comes through, I selected the ear speaker and it worked. But after I uninstalled the app, the ear speaker was not working again.
There must be an simpler solution as opposed to keeping the 'SoundAbout' app installed, because the ear speaker was working in all the time I had the phone, until just a while ago when I tried to make a phone call. I was wondering if I could reset the phone, but what's the easiest way to back up everything?
