I just love those 'dramatic' singles from the girl groups of the early 60s.........

Brilliant film from a guy, Morgan Neville, who makes brilliant music documentaries (Johnny Cash's America and The Stax Records Story).

I was young but the first song I can remember was The Crystals 'The He Kissed Me'....still as momentous now as then. I would like to hear Little Mix try to cover this.

That's the recording where the Crystals are miming to Darlene Love's recording as a "Crystal." though she wasn't.
She was also an occasional Ronnette, but only on a record.

I absolutely love that song, it's one of my favourites.

Phil Spector's Wall of Sound Retrospective is an album well worth getting, it's full of brilliant tracks like this.
