Now music will finally offer a "songs" compilation!
The NOW compilation you've been waiting for, the revolutionary concept of putting different songs on one CD, forget all those other genres, it's just "songs" you've been waiting for! - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Now-Thats-Wh...s_all_1#disc_1
On another note, NOW 90's out March 30 with quite an interesting cover. |

Still wouldn't waste hdd space downloading that sh!t illegally, let along buy it. I mean Joe "Chipmunk on helium" McElderry doing a Miley Cyrus song & Celine "screeching diva" Dion. Now that's what I won't be having on my playlists.
With the archive of songs that Now have had on their albums over the years, it is about time that they moved with the times and offered people the chance to create their own ideal Now Album. Even way before the likes of Spotify existed, I have been ripping cd's that I have purchased since the days of WinDac on Windows 95, I couldn't care less if I was breaking the law or not, I have always had a principle that if I buy a CD, then it would be ripped, so that I can play on any of my devices & that I would never buy the same track again in a different format to play on a different device other than CD. Hell in the 80's I used to copy from Radio to tape & Vinyl to Tape, to make up my own mixtapes. End of the day is that people have been making their own playlists for decades, the only thing that has changed is the format that the music is played on. I would be more than happy to pay for a compilation of songs that I would actually enjoy listening to, have a snazzy cover with a track listing on the back. But until that day comes along, I cannot ever see buying a Now album, with the amount of crap they put on them. |

Just amazing that they've been doing these very vague spin offs to the main NOW series with compilations that could have been really good and definitive had they wanted them to be, Now Movies and Now Rock for example, are pretty poor, but Now Disco and Now Disney did the job pretty well but now they've dispensed with even these vague themes to package a few loosely connected modern hits together and just called one "Now Songs". In terms of being a CD compilation album compiler this release is the equivalent of not being arsed to take the bin out.
The main series continues to be useful to get a collection of the latest hits, but these spin offs are increasingly reflecting rather badly on the NOW brand and making it look rather cheesy at best and cheap and nasty at worst. The cover designs are in some cases better than the compilation choices on the CD's themselves, definitely the case for poor compilations like Now USA, Now Chill & Now Running! Good cover design, flippin' awful random collection of loosely connected modern hits. |

Now Reggae was truly awful as there has been so many great Reggae songs over the years and the producers at Now decide to include that overrated twonk Peter "f******" Andre on it. Surely they could have got the rights for a better track listing.
