Speedtests showing hundreds of megabits might be nothing more than willy-waving on the surface but it means the network is healthy enough to cope with lots of people "who only need 2Mbps".
Also the faster the network delivers the bits to update my app, download the picture in facebook etc, the quicker the CPU and Modem can go back to low power mode and save the battery in my device. (aka the race to sleep)

Good point, those pesky court cases trying to stop EE reusing spectrum. Didn't the Home Secretary have to get all the networks in one room to thrash out a compromise?
The EE situation helped to speed things up really. We would've been waiting even longer if they hadn't done that. 800 couldn't be used because TV didn't get cleared off it until 2013.

LEARN TO READ AN ARTICLE FIRST BEFORE COMMENTING>

Seriously wtf is wrong with people.
Dude, you bring some brilliant insightful views and information in many of your posts, but also alot of aggression of late...
Think the mobile section of DS needs to light some josticks, make some dasy chains. Play some hippy music and chill out a little, in the words of oddball from Kelly's hero's... Far too much negative waves,

I have read the article. I don't see how it invalidates my points?

BTW your caps lock was stuck on there for a moment. Or maybe you had something on the shift key since > was substituted for .

You could try pointing out where you think people seem to be going so wrong, instead of constantly repeating an empty statement
Did you miss post 34?

You joking! I cant even get 2Mbps with Three and thats even at 4am!
I'm stuck with 1 and a half not even half of 1 Mbps at times and to be honest I blame it on the unlimited bundles, People can think they can torrent and download all day and all night long and slow the mast down for others!

Three need to have some sort of QoS in place, Let the HTTP/HTTPS traffic high then P2P and VPN traffic low etc etc.

Now will 3 do anything about it?
Don't think so as 37% of users do it and if they suspend the 37% of users then 3 are loosing out of money and subscribers.

2Mbps would be amazing. I tend to get between 0.1-0.2Mbps - sometimes a bit more if I'm lucky. I did a speed test and I'm getting 0.24 atm so that's quite a high result.

But yeah, even at this time YouTube videos won't load - just plays audio only then stops altogether.

So if the Three CEO wants to throw ten times the Mbps this way I won't mind!

Well I would upload a video of EE doing 0.35Mbps tonight (normally 15 meg) but the vid on my iPad is taking so long to upload on my ADSL that I might lose the will to live!!!

Three 4G at St Albans train station yesterday 60.86mbps down, 18.98mbps up.

Sadly I was only on a train passing through, so didn't get to use it for longer than a speed test!
