I think you've cleared it up for me nicely, I'll answer individually instead of generally next time as well, sorry for the confusion.
I do understand your attitude towards her, but I find I don't have to like something or agree with something to find it interesting. The effect she has on some people for example is fascinating to be honest.
I'd say I think you miss out by excluding or dismissing things, but fat chance of that these days with media such as it is.
My opinion of KH from what I see on her twitter and in the CBB house is all preplanned

I don't think she has any interest in the issues she highlights and in her planning, the more ignorant she is about an issue the more she'll pass ignorant comments about it for the attention and retorts.
One perfect example is children's names. When she is shown the contradiction, she'll move on to the next one and the next and the next etc etc.
When she's called out on something and a reply is expected in explanation, she uses that as an opportunity to say something more contradictory.

Neither do I. I find loads of people with contentious and/or obnoxious views interesting and worth reading/listening to. None of them waste my time with dull-witted, energy-sapping stupidity and provocation for the sake of it though.

She's far from the first person to make a programme about slimming either, but she of course thinks she is. I would say the countless number of people who went before her have also been thanked. She can't do anything at all without making it about herself and what she did, I agree, was downright idiotic and a shocking and dangerous example to anyone. I just wanted to clarify that it's not contentious or obnoxious views that bother me, it's how they're delivered and the intent behind them. That's why there's no enjoyment whatsoever for me in what the joyless Hopkins does.

What she was trying to prove of course is that fat people are lazy but not too lazy to walk to the fridge and "pour half its contents down their throats" (paraphrasing).
Some time back the BBC did a program on dieting which raised new research about a "fat gene". So it's not just about a lack of will power or gluttony.
Her little experiment adds nothing. It just proves for now she doesn't have the tendency to put on weight unless she force-feeds herself like some goose. Nobody eats the way she did during that program. She was looking at her weight gain and then forcing herself to eat even more, and then constantly, until she was almost gagging. Who eats like that?

Of course she deserves the venom. If all she gives is negativity then all she will get back is negativity.
If she didn't make venomous comments herself then she wouldn't receive them.
You only get what you give that's the way karma works. She's not some innocent victim.
The thing about having a character like Hopkins is that it gives room for the "vulcan philosopher" to rise. You know that character who says I see what you are saying but you are allowing it all to get to you. Maybe if you weren't so emotional then you could see the situation more realistically etc etc so here's my advice... remain neutral.
