Can a concert sell out during presale??
Can someone give me some peace of mind once and for all as I don't understand this whole presale thing? im not a SSE customer so I have to wait til Monday to book Madonna tickets but I read presale starts on Thursday. am I right in saying that presale is just a limited area in the arena?? I think I remember my mum years ago phoning up during a presale for p!nk and them saying they don't presale disabled tickets
Sorry about making ANOTHER thread about Madonna but I really want peace of mind |

Presale started today, I was after floor VIP tickets & London was sold out after legacy presale, managed to get floor VIP tickets in B'ham.
I got some Blk 112 tickets for the O2 was offered Row S first and discarded them and got a much closer Row about 20 minutes later, so don't know whether I got someone else's discarded tickets or whether they were selling the blocks from back to front. A lot of people I know were sold block 112 & block 111 today but on some of the resale sites there are already tickets for sale for the other blocks, so..... With being able to buy a presale pass on madonna.com & getting one from amazon or with your citi card, presage is basically general release these days. Time was you had to be a member of the icon club by a certain date to get a presale code. Unfortunately I had to let my membership lapse before the fan club was made free so missed out on a legacy pass. |

There will be a certain amount of tickets saved especially for the presale, but most will be available after.

OP littlegreen42 is correct.
If you register now with live nation you might get access to a presale with them before general sale. I also would not wait until Monday as general sale begins on Friday. Good luck. |

In theory yes, in practice no. There will only be certain seats allocated to the presale, they may sell more than they planned, but with Madonna they know the demand will be insane so will keep plenty back.

Plus she'll be adding loads of extra dates on too. Rumours floating around that she's got shows at The o2 on 2nd and 12th of December too.

on SSE Hydro website it says Monday http://www.thessehydro.com/events/ma...our-16202.aspx
Amazon are doing a presale if you bought the album from them. Please check first I think the closing date was today with presale on Thursday. |

I was going to buy presale tickets on Thursday via an Amazon code after buying the album but be prepared, I don't know what kind of prices you're expecting, they are like £120 for the A section of the top tier!! Someone I know got a ticket today via the fan club presale, near the stage and paid £194.

it's possible, but in practice a set allocation of tickets are set aside for each presale (it's not uncommon for there to be more than one presale offer for the same gig, such as fanclub, venue and amex doing them). often the presale doesn't have the best tickets, it's usually reasonable tickets tho, it really all depends on particular circumstances, but the best seats will sell no problem on the day, so no need to offer them in a presale. fanclubs may offer special seating areas
regarding the hydro presale, you don't need to be a customer to join the presale, and similar circumstances surround other presales. you just need to use your head. the hydro presales are a farce really, you can buy "presale" tickets at times the day or two AFTER the general sale has completely sold out sometimes. the hydro website often goes into meltdown when tickets go on sale too. the site will look like it works but won't let you complete a sale, and sometimes it registers the ticket as a sale so reduces the amount available even though no-one has actually bought anything, so folk think they've lost out on tickets when some are still available |

They release a certain amount of tickets for presale then the rest on general sale. I noticed this morning that I can get Madonna tickets on presale with O2, something I used numerous times and it is worth doing for better seats

I'm finding it all so confusing. I want to get tickets to one of the UK dates...preferably her date at the 02. Can someone tell me when they go on sale? My understanding is that general sale is on Monday...is this correct? I'm not a fan club member or anything so I'm assuming that I can't get tickets in any presale?

What im sortof getting from reading stuff on the net is you have to be a O2 customer to access the presale [for me I need to be a SSE customer which im not. My understanding is only a SET amount of tickets are sold during a presale [presumeably its front row and VIP tickets I dunno]. Then the rest of the tickets go on sale on Monday. so, even if presale sells out, you still have the chance to get tickets during general sale on Monday Someone please tell me im right lol |

you don't need to be a SSE customer, and as far as an o2 customer goes, the cheapest PYG sim will give you access to that. if you think about it, you can gain access to most presales pretty easily

Sometimes when you go to buy tickets of this prestige, you go online and within minutes they have gone. You think to yourself, I never stood a chance.
