O2 Germany launched HD Voice on 3G this week. UK have not.

O2 UK has previously stated they have no intention of supporting HD voice.

(Until Hutchison take over, that is)

Heck, they can't even get SD voice right

Currently Vodafone can claim to have the most Northern part of Britain 4G'd..... I do blame you Devon for hogging all those EE Engineers they sent down from Scotland to sort out the mess the locals couldn't
Now that's a bizarre location North of Inverness. Credit to the remote C&W backhaul I guess!

This must be the same for O2 too as O2 manage the works in that part of Scotland..

It is but for some reason, signal is stronger on Voda and also Voda switched on a day earlier
I'm told thr upgrades were requested & partly paid for by a third party...

I'm concerned about the indoor signal though. ALL the masts bar 1 around me have been 4G enabled. I get 3 bars outside. Inside downstairs this instantly goes. Instead I get 1 bar unusable 3G or 1-2 bars EDGE.
Couldn't agree more. I think Vodafone are the ones to watch. Their mix of spectrum and their roll out strategy seem best to me for the kind of coverage I want (no interest in top speeds just something reliable available indoors and out). In my experience they already have EE beat in London indoor coverage wise.

I really don't buy the mast spacing argument put forwards in favour of EE. It sounds nice in theory but it doesn't reflect my experience in and around the south. As you say 3 bars outside (although not an ideal measure) to No Service inside is also what I see sometimes and can't be explained away with mast spacing or power. It has to be a frequency thing.

Bit that stood out was "EE has also announced it will begin trailing VoLTE and Wi-Fi calling but won't start until Autumn."

Potentially for VoLTE but WC has been confirmed to by live by the S6 release in April, unless it slips of course, again....
Maybe they got confused as EE initially promised wifi calling for Autumn 2014...
The article's author, Luke Edwards, has reworded that sentence:

EE has also announced it will begin trailing VoLTE and Wi-Fi calling which will start with the Lumia 640 and 640 XL on its 7 April release and will work with the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge when they arrive.
That's still confusing as EE have announced VoWiFi support for those four phones but not VoLTE.

How can it be? It's 1800 the same as 2G.
Nah, it's a power thing.

They'll support VoLTE in the future as well.

Youve claimed a number of times that EE & 3 would be first with VoLTE.

Any news that you are aware of from them?

3 interests me most as we have started to see fragments of 4G from them but still no 3G
