For me this make it less likely that it's Kathy's Gavin, unless Sharon finds out about Kathy that week (which is unlikely since apparently Letitia didn't know about that when these episodes were filmed.)

The ages kind of match up with Les, and I think that could work out well as it would tie him and Pam into the square more, and I think Pam and Sharon could work well together.

Also, something I'd forgotten about which makes it even less likely, the storyliners had no idea Kathy was returning either when these episodes were filmed, let alone planned, only the people at the very top knew. It's not impossible for DTC and co to only give the storyliners just enough information for it to work without giving the game away like they did with the Lucy storyline, but I'm not really sure it's likely.

They could i suppose have been working under the belief that he and Kathy were both still dead, sharon investigates, discovers her father emigrated to SA and then married Kathy Mitchell before dying in a car crash.
