So I've been rather fascinated by that extra who works at the chippy for the last few months. Right after Pam made that joke about Les' battered sausage, she said "the usual Jo, please". Confirmed on subtitles on iPlayer.

Hopefully like Shrimpy at the market we see her in a few more scenes. Those two along with Tracey and Winston could all be plonked on one table where there's a special occasion,

Just glad she has a name

Not much, although one EE site lists her.

Error though as she still works at the chippy, not "worked".

I don't think so. Given all those trampy hipsters (they're all extras) Dean hired to work at Blades, she wouldn't have fitted in.

Jo is great, she's been an extra since the market protest last year. Often appears in the market buying things, moreso than in the chippy

Have they got rid of the fried chicken shop set and the guy who worked behind the counter there?

Jo is everywhere these days...in one episode I saw her in the market, the minute mart and then her natural home the Chippie. I think for CIN sketch this year they should do a special where the characters lose there voices and its up to the extras to come along and save the scene by playing the characters. We can have the likes of Tracey and Marie kicking off in the pub whist Mick and Kat are standing around silently.

She's surely the second Chinese character in EE (albeit an extra) since the terrible Li Chong from 2007 or thereabouts. I like Jo to be honest, she really adds to ambiance of Walford for some reason.

She roams around Walford in the day and works evening shifts at Beale's Plaice.

Do they even mention the place anymore? The set to McKlunkey's is probably gone as they haven't shown it in ages.

Most of its business vanished when Morgan left with Bianca to Milton Keynes. I'm sure they've got a new favourite chicken shop in MK now

That's brilliant. They could recreate the final scenes from the opening episode with Tracey as Kathy, Marie and Sue, Winston as Ali, Shrimpy as Pete, Donna as Ethel and Leslie Grantham and John Altman can return as Nick and Den!
