The few films/serials I've seen that have been about Irish families have always been good, and really gritty etc. Most obvious example was The Committments. Although I wouldn't like to see a middle class irish soap opera, but more of a down to earth gritty working mans style. Would be good if it were set in the 70s/80s, though then it wouldn't be a soap opera.... |

If it were even half as good as Red Rock, I'd tune in. Let's have an Irish version of Brookside!!!!!
On a more serious note, would there be topics for them to tackle that an English soap couldn't I guess I mean in regards to religion and the issues unique to NI? (Hope that doesn't sound ignorant?) |

I want like something like how Northern Ireland lives in a day to day basis not like the south. I would love to create the soap in couple years time.
