Don't forget Channel 5HD on Sky is part of HD subscription so unlikely it would be on Freeview.
So what Dave Really and Yesterday are pay channels on sky and not available to freesat even in non freesat mode, yet available to freeview viewers for free!

A thought: now that BBC One +1 is planned to be a separate service, the CBBC capacity will be empty overnight should BBC Three close. The Beeb have gifted a chunk of their capacity to the carriage of Community before - it was on Mux B/BBCB back in the pre-switchover days IIRC - and putting a public-service channel in the vacated BBCA space would cause less ructions than slotting a commercial station in there would... This would enable part-time Community to be restored to those with SD-only receivers and those outside COM7 range...
Thats a good idea as long as BBC actually give the community channel a different set of data and set it up as effectively a different video stream to CBBC SD/HD not like BBC 3 currently is then it would be fine and on top of that it could switch MUXs during the day to COM 7 during CBBC's hours.

For about 20 mins (9:35, 9:45) this morning there was an extra LCN 63 in COM7's data. I don't think an extra audio or video PID was present.

I guess someone was preparing for this change and accidentally put it to the live system. I didn't have chance to look at any more details at the time, and by 9:55 the change had been reverted.

Community Channel HD on 109 has just (11:45) lost its audio and video PIDs and been replaced with an MHEG slate saying that it has moved. "Community Channel HD has moved. Please retune your Freeview equipment to channel 63 to continue to receive this service. 24/7 on Freeview HD 63, Sky 539, Virgin TV 233 and Freesat 651 On Demand via BBC iPlayer, BT TV and YouTube"

Edit: Then at 12:05 new video, audio and PMT pids have appeared, presumably for the future SD channel on COM7. Interesting they can't/won't deploy this in one go. Perhaps this is the cheapest option.

LCNs are now (12:25) in place.

The old LCN63 on COM6 has been bumped to LCN790 pending removal.
On COM7, a new LCN63 has appeared and is up and running with audio and video.
LCN109 on COM7 is now a MHEG slate as above.

I think Film4 HD would be better.

Community Channel still showing as LCN63 on COM6 here (I haven't done a rescan yet).

Will be interested to see what happens tomorrow?

The only reason why it was HD was to distinguish two streams of the same channel that had different time slots. If they were both in SD there would have been two channels called "Community Channel" close to each other in the EPG which would have been even more confusing for viewers.

I doubt Arqiva has anything else lined up to replace it.
Ed Smalls ,Arqivas's super salesman ,will soon fill the slot .
Could be UHD .
We could then get a great hi rez piccy of the roulette wheel or the fried eggs on the lady's after the 12pm watershed !

I'm expecting the COM6 version to drop to an MHEG slate telling you to rescan if you want to continue to watch the channel - but with something about only if you live in a COM7 region and have Freeview HD kit. Should be fun to draft that message so that it is understandable to the general public!

(p.s. @Mike, I already know you don't like Arqiva. Had you considered starting a thread on it in the Broadcasting forums rather than sidetracking threads like this?)

I know, I posted a message to that effect myself in a local news forum and had to dumb it right down to make it understandable.

Here's the actual message:

Re: Horror Channel coming to Freeview Friday, March 13th!

Community Channel is moving to make way for it. It will still be on Channel 63 but broadcast on the frequency currently used by Community Channel HD so some people will have to rescan and others may be unable to receive it at all.

Community Channel HD (Ch.109) will no longer exist.

The old video stream which had moved to LCN790 has now ceased and been replaced with a retune slate (see change log).

Anyone else having problems with no EPG data on the retuned LCN63? The old Community HD (109) is still showing an EPG - but no programmes.

Same here, looks like they've not hooked up the EPG for the new 63 yet. 790 and 109 still have their old data in place.

If you want to set a PVR I can't help you, but if you just want to know what is on, have a look here.

Perhaps I should have made it clear I was using a PVR.
Last time I looked the problem may have been solved.

The closed Community HD has been shifted down to 793 pending removal.

Not entirely sure why 791 and 792 have been left vacant, they must have been allocated for some other change that hasn't happened yet.

Sigh. SO glad you read the thread.
Which, being translated, means that the space has been taken by the Horror Channel.
