I really hate this repulsive despicable sex maniac disgusting woman that I hope DTC gives her character a disease or terminal illness and she dies in pain.

Bet you wouldn't dare say that to her face.

I LOVE me some Kat.

We're talking about the character, unlike you I can distinguish bet real person and the soap character.

Jessie Wallace is a good actress and surprisingly a good singer too.

I love Kat!

I know she can be a cow and is no stranger to affairs and such but when she is written properly she is brilliant imo and I am loving her at the mo!

I don't think DTC has any plans for Kat to catch anything

I can distinguish just fine - but your first post was so heated I wasn't sure if YOU could. Glad we've cleared that up though. Turns out we both know Kat ain't real

I haven't heard Jessie Wallace sing but I agree she's a good actress.

I think she's really turning a corner at the moment, We're seeing her lash out and behave like typical drunken slapper Kat but then we're being shown why. Her scenes this week have been fantastic. The scene in which she was telling Stacey she has given up on expecting good things to happen to her was perfectly played.

A great actress who is finally being used properly after being stuck in the wilderness for ages. I just hope that this new wealth helps her to turn things around on her own as we could do with her having some luck.

I heard her sing on Bruce Forsythe's Hall of Fame on TV over Christmas. Her version of "As Long as He Needs Me" was beautiful. Jessie is so talented.

Agree with everything you've said. I think Kat has been the one really great thing about EE since the Lives. Jessie is far too good to waste.

That DTC is the producer to finally start utilising Jessie/Kat properly is just another reason to be grateful we have him in charge.

She really is but it is kind of part of her appeal in a way. Much more interesting than being a bland 'nicey nice' character, imo.

Agreed. Where would EE be without those spicy, controversial characters who generate a strong reaction good or bad? I'd take that over beige and vanilla every time.

I like kat but bk has really killed her wish making her sluttiness the fire of many storylines which a lot of fans can't get past. I can't stand linda but not wishing a horrible death on the character. Kat as a person has been through a lot (the fire, baby swap, Harry) and it's realistic that it's bottom the character to the state she is now. Alfie became worse for weeks after the fire by blaming everyone which was sickening as showed what a vile person alfie is but kat isn't vile in that sense.

Definitely. My favourite characters tend to be the controversial, feisty characters who provoke strong reactions from the audience, both good and bad, Kat and Shirley being too of the most obvious, without characters such as these, the show would be dull, imo.

Imo Kat and Alfie are both brilliant when written correctly!

At the moment Jessie is playing a blinder and hopefully Alfie will be back on screen soon as well!

Re: Linda i'm warming to her a bit since she was generous with Kat and Kim last week.

I feel exactly the same about Kat as I do Shirley: she’s a very complex, interesting character whom I love to watch. That said, I would absolutely HATE having a Kat (or a Shirley) in my life because both of them make some appalling stupid choices that have terrible effects on their loved ones.

Linda I'm in a sort of limbo tbh. She's shown some redeeming qualities but from experience from times I've begun to warm her in the past Im pretty certain that something will crop up again to throw all the time warming to her back in my face. Kat was written correctly and is fantastic but alfie was far to ott blaming it on the others, I think how he refused Roxy to see ronnie was understandable

I would actually find it quite amusing for a while. Never a dull moment with people like that around in your life .

Kat is a abrasive, raw character but she can also be inconsistent, one minute she taking charge and being decisive for once the next she is back to weeping and moaning about her life, we need to see her turn a corner and give her some direction, preferable without Alfie.

Linda is the only Carter who I never warmed to and although I was pissed off at her accidentally calling social services on Kat she could have called the police and had Kat and Kim arrested for trespassing and theft and Kat for threatening behaviour but she let them off and it was really good of her imo!

I agree, they are both complex, abrasive characters who make bad decisions and bring buckets of drama as well as having that vulnerability and humour about them. I love both characters, they are very interesting and make for compelling viewing. If you had a Kat or Shirley in your life, there would never be a dull moment.

You think that makes her vile? Seriously? I found it deeply sad.

I'm hoping kat brings out the best in her and helps her get off her high horse. Something still needs sorting between her and denise as linda has been disgusting for to her since the ian and rainie thing

I agree. It's a sensitive time for kat and she has been there before in terms of suicide. It's an easy place to return too but it doesn't make a person vile.

That's true!

Kat has had a lot of upset this and last year so it's no wonder she's going off the rails a bit and I agree it doesn't make her a bad person, let's hope something good comes out of Harry's money.

Re:Linda, i've warmed to her a bit but am still on the fence, she was generous with Kat and Kim but I agree she's been mean to Denise.
