Am I right to be pissed off. Yesterday I was asked to install the update of my IoS software on my iPhone. Then I noticed that an Apple Watch app - which I did not download - has appeared on the phone inviting me to sink the phone with my Apple Watch. But I don't have one and can't imagine getting one. I wanted to delete the app but I can't. I dislike highhanded behaviour whether from Google, Apple or anyone else. Am I being unreasonable?

Yes you are.
Just do what I did and put it in the utilities folder out of the way. Simples!!!!
Oh and it's "sync".

I put it in my "Other" folder, which is on its own page and contains all the apps I never use such as Safari, Apple Maps, and Stocks.

I don't think it's a big deal, but I do think that it would have been better if it was an optional download rather than included with 8.2.

Not a big deal no, but like the Android wear app, it should be a manual download for when you actually get the watch.

It's Apple, it was never going to be an optional download - as much as it very clearly should have been.

But then like most people, I just stuck it in the 'Extras' folder with all the other stuff I don't use so no big deal really.

It's mildly annoying at most. If that's all you have to get pee'd off about in life, count your lucky stars!

Whenever I set up my iPhone after a restore it annoys me for about two minutes that they insist on me having apps I'll never use taking up space on my phone.

Then I put them in a folder and never think of them again.

It's a pity the naming conventions for the folders don't fully accomodate "Crap I'll Never Use"

I do remember back when I had my first 3G that I did actually jailbreak. Removing the unused apps certainly was one of the more useful things you could do.

I find it annoying as well, I just wish if they stopped you from deleting them, then they would allow you to turn on restrictions, and 'turn off' those app, as you can with, Safari and the camera apps

So presumably before you installed the update, you read the update notes, understood what it contained, and agreed to the terms and conditions?

Not usually, but then I'm not the one complaining about the update.

But yes - here's a free album. First world problems, and all that.

Money matters.

I bet you also get a 'buy the Watch' button come April.
Free U2 sounds more fun.

How much would you like to bet?

(Assuming buttons on the Apple website, or the Apple Store app don't count.)
