Apple TV or Chromecast?
Which is better? Will mainly be using it for Netflix and YouTube. Chromecast looks the better option as it's cheaper and just plugs into the HDMI slot...looks small and simple. But I notice that Apple TV is only £59 right now, so that's tempting too!

With Apple or Fire TV you get 5.1 Dolby Digital, which is useful if you have an older amp, like me.

If you have an iPhone or iPad then I'd say most certainly go for Apple TV, especially at its new price.
That's not to say you can't use an Apple TV without either of the other, it just gives you other options and features to use such as AirPlay which comes in handy. Even if you only use for Netflix & YouTube I don't think you'll be disappointed with one. |

Everything I have is android/chromebook. So the chromecast is perfect for me. I hate watching tv on my laptop, and my smart box won't connect to the internet in my temporary accommodation. I love it and have properly discovered Netflix with it too.
