I assumed it was a euphemism, as in "Ooo ... I've just seen your duff duff".

its the end of a eastenders Episode OP
For example.... For the Jane Reveal in Live week Ian walked into the house and then he turns to someone who we cant see. "i want you to tell me exactly what happened on Good Friday!" The Camera cuts to Jane looking terrified as the "Doof Doof" begins. Doof Doof Doof Doof etc |

I wondered what it meant as well.
I assumed the end - and beginning - of EE written down was Da Da Da, which I can imagine in my head a lot more that Duff Duff Duff. |

When I initially read the forums I didn't know what BIB, TPTB, OP and duff duff meant. To be honest when I hear the duff duff at the end of Eastenders it sounds to me like dun dun dun but that's just me.

It's always been a ''Doof doof'' to me, not a ''Duff duff''...
... there's a sentence I never thought I'd type... |

It's the sound you hear at the end of the last scene in an episode - the beats which you hear before the end credits roll and the theme tune starts.

A "duff duff" is like a "diddly dee" in Emmerdale and a "whaa whaa wa wa wa whaa" in Corrie.

It's the last twenty seconds of Eastenders - you know, the good bit when all the 'actors' have gone away.
