I wouldnt want the focus on them too long and for the show to be too centric in that direction but Ive enjoyed this week in some ways,a good break from carter overload ,some overdue focus on the neglected masoods and many of us have called for that! Not tobmention some development of the cokers which needed to happen at some point if their introduction was to serve any purpose.

Perry Fenwick always too underused in recent years.

Ticking those boxes I think there was a lot to enjoy this week,Im certainly not part of the backlash against these episodes. To me very watchable on the whole.

I like Perry a lot. He's a good actor. He plays Billy brilliantly.

and I love the cokers more and more. Especially Pam.

Could easily not deal with the Shabnam and Kush drama but again, we are seeing more characters storyline explored so it's more variety.

People moan it's been slow yet they moan if certain characters aren't given enough story lines.

I've enjoyed it this past week

The heart to heart scenes between Billy and Jay over Heathers killing were some of the best acted scenes involving that big storyline.Perry really delivered.

I'm glad the Masoods got some of the action. I wasn't interested in the Cokers that much until now. I was surprised by Billy trying to help the Cokers. He used to be so different.

It was great to see Billy. Perry is such a good actor and is sorely underused. Les is intriguing me. Loved seeing a more assertive Martin last night.

Also enjoying Kat and Stacey.

The underuse of the masoods has been a real bugbear of mine So I for one was glad to see them getting some decent focus. As with Billy though they now need to focus on giving the masoods a fair amount of attendion throughout the year rather than when many are on panto break/christmas hols or generally just put on reserve until needed.Create the need and use them more positively and less out of neccesity.

Ive a feeling that the fortunes of Billy and the cokers are likely to become entwined for a good while now .Pam intrigues me too_Who did she kill and why?Billy seems to be only one theyve confided in.Perry will deliver if given the chance.

Martins becoming a firm favourite of mine.

Masood is such a good character, but it's like TPTB don't know what to do with him, with Zainab not in Walford. Of course she needs to come back, but Mas deserves so much better. Nitin Ganatra is a talented actor.

I understand the neccesity last year of putting Carol with David but I really felt that Carol and Masood had potential.

It's very sad that the week in which they decide to give other characters some limelight it ends up being poorly written, poorly edited, poorly storyboarded and poorly acted.

It's becoming increasingly evident that only the Carters, Mitchells and Beales are cared for by production and with the major characters of the latter two families off screen the Carters are taking charge once again with this ridiculous "Where's Dean" storyline that nobody gives a !@#$ about.

I didn't really buy their relationship as it felt like these two characters are single and dump them together

This is how I feel, I like Billy and I like the Coker's, it was lovely to see the interaction between Janet and Les last night it brought out a softer side of him you very rarely get to see. But as you say the writing this week has been awful bordering on boring and why oh why couldn't we have just one happily married couple, why make Les have a secret woman.

I didnt buy them getting together in the firstplace,ie the way they paired up but once they were together I actually found them quite believable as a couple.

God, no. Poor Mas has had enough misery for a lifetime, please do not reunite him with the resident square misery guts.

As for the Cokers, I can't take them seriously. With all due respect, the actors that play them are incredibly wooden. The man has an air of pure pantomime villain about him, he pulls the most incredible faces, and the woman is a mixture of Pollianna and Tweety from Loony Tunes. That's just mho though.

It made a huge change and I've enjoyed the episodes as slow as they've been in parts although yesterday's was a mess, it's been nice to have a focus on other characters who deserves just as much screen time as DTC favourites.

I think the Masoods are very underused and it was good seeing Carol, Sonia, Liam and Cindy and even Kat, Stacey and Mo and the likes of Cokers, it's a shame it just for filler type episodes though, I hope DTC starts giving the show a more balance and structured use of the cast.

Balance is the key, they should always lean more in that direction even though obviously 100% equal treatment screentime wise isnt possibly it doesnt need to be so out ok kilter especially with huge talents like Nitin Ganatra and Lindsey Coulson in the cast.

The family unit isn't working that is why they are not being used. Masood is OK but they don't know what do do with him. I liked Jane with Mas more than Ian but the Producers needed to add her ro the resident Sociopath list! Shabnam I was warming to but the characterisation is all over the place. WTF time on Thursday. Tamwar is walking depression and the pairing with Nancy ridiclous. Hope to god they are not looking to make next Kat and Alfie out of a mis matched couple.
